This full day excursion to Pico takes about 8-9 hours, during which you will see most of the highlights of the neighboring Pico island. The tour is perfect for those visitors of Faial who only spend a couple of days in the Triangle but want to visit Pico without too much stress.
The Pico, a first impression tour is an all inclusive trip from your accommodation in Faial, including the ferry transfers, to the main landmarks of Pico. Depending on the ferry schedules you will leave from Faial at around 9 a.m. and return in the late afternoon at around 7 p.m. At lunch time we will have a rich picnic in one of the recreational parks of Pico.

What To Expect
Faial Island
The tour starts at your accommodation from where you will go to the ferry terminal of Horta for the passage to Pico. On Pico there are drives of 15 to 30 minutes in-between the attractions. At the end of the tour you will take again the ferry back to Horta and will be dropped off at your accommodation.
The Marina of Horta
Ferry transfer from Horta in Faial to Madalena do Pico. Ferries are operating all year round and a vital connection between the Islands of the Triangle.

5.00Andrés was a fantastic tour guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable about both Faial and Pico. We had an amazing picnic lunch, tour of the island, and a very interesting wine tasting at Czar. Truly a once in a lifetime experience. We had a wonderful day trip!

5.00What a fantastic day! Andreas was extremely knowledgeable about Pico, Faial, and the Azores in general and an enthusiastic guide. Everything went smoothly with ferries to/from Pico. We visited most areas of the island, with stops at many beautiful and interesting places, with amazing views and rich culture/history. His local perspective added so much depth to the tour. The picnic lunch was delicious and at a spot with a stunning vista! Highly recommend!

5.00The owner and operator of this company is a kindly and generous man—a local resident on Faial Island. His wife makes yummy lunch for you and he brings plenty of water, wine and beer for the journey. The sights are beautiful if you have the sun cooperating. The UNESCO wine area is interesting too as there are only a few of these in existence. I used this gentlemen for both a tour of Faial and Pico Islands. As long as you have managed expectations (These are not Flores and Corvo) and good weather I'm sure you won't be disappointed. The trips are quite pricey for a solo traveler but one must understand that this is the cost of a private tour. I'm sure you will enjoy your time :) Happy adventuring!
