Escape the hustle and bustle of Dublin City for one day as we take you on a private whiskey adventure to the midlands of Ireland, to the real Irish countryside. As you cruise through rural Ireland, enjoy lively conversation with your Whiskey Specialist Host.
First stop is Old Kilbeggan Distillery, one of Ireland’s oldest distilleries which is still producing their world famous Kilbeggan whiskey.
Next, we stop in a quaint Irish town in the very centre of Ireland. Athlone is home to Ireland's oldest pub - Sean's. They love whiskey so much at Sean's that they have 2 of their own brands! We'll try them after you've had a bit of free time in Athlone to explore / grab some lunch.
Next , we travel not far to Tullamore, home to the world's second biggest Irish whiskey brand. The Tullamore D.E.W. Distillery Experience Tour is an unforgettable visit for whiskey fans. It's an access all areas tour with lots of great surprises along the way.
We'll have you back in Dublin at 6.30pm

5.00We so enjoyed our private whiskey tour to celebrate my husband's 45th birthday. The extra attention and personalized experience capped off our trip to Ireland perfectly. We loved the compare and contrast of the different distillery we visited. Tullamore was the highlight of the day with the awesome intimate group that we toured the facility with and the tour guide being so fun and entertaining...along with the absolute awesome whiskey tastings. My favorite whiskey though was from Sean's Bar. What a treat to get to experience that legendary location. Kilbeggan had so much history and was the perfect start to the day's adventures. I would highly recommend this tour or any tours by Whiskey Island!! We had such a wonderful day and would encourage all to go ahead and schedule your tour! The process and service was so nice and easy and comfortable!! And the conversations with John throughout the day left us highly entertained. John truly does love his job, country and whiskey! Thank you again!!

5.00We thoroughly enjoyed our whiskey tour with John. Our focus originally had been to tour Tullamore Dew since we are from San Francisco and use that whiskey to make our Irish coffees after having many from the famous Buena Vista Cafe; however we enjoyed the juxtaposition of touring a very old distillery (Kilbeggan) with a much more modern (Tullamore Dew). Visiting Sean’s Bar was a treat and we had a very enjoyable lunch on our own in Athlone that John had recommended. The pacing of the tour was excellent and John provided the perfect balance of historical commentary when driving and leaving us time on the individual tours. Would highly recommend!

Three delicious whiskey tastings and a great lunch & good company. Would 100% recommend to anyone looking to explore Ireland for the first time. Pickup was super smooth and the day never felt rushed. 5.00I really have to thank John for making this experience unforgettable. The tour was super safe and always on time. We had enough time to tour the different distilleries and we could go to the oldest bar in the world. In the tullamore distillery I was received in the best way and on top of that I was the only one. It was one of the best experiences of my life. Thank you so much for everything! I recommend it 100%
