5.00Most Danube Delta tour companies are not active off-season, but Safca is active year-round. My wife and I were the only passengers on this tour, which we consider extremely good service. They guide and crew spoke very good English and were knowledgeable and friendly. They helped us spot birds and taught us about the ornithology, history, culture and geography of the Danube Delta. The hospitality aboard was above reproach. For lunch we were served the famous Danube Delta fish-stew, and it truly deserved its reputation as among the best of its kind in the world. We hotel pick-up and drop-off were smooth. We cannot recommend Safca highly enough. One thing: if you go on a winter tour make sure you dress up warmly. Even though warm drinks and blankets are provided it can get cold.
