What To Expect
Golden Circle Route
Experience one of Iceland’s most iconic routes—the Golden Circle—with approximately 3 to 3.5 hours of total driving time. The journey includes about 1.5 hours to reach Gullfoss Waterfall, followed by a scenic return drive along a different route, offering new landscapes and perspectives. This well-paced loop showcases Iceland’s diverse terrain while keeping travel time efficient and comfortable.
Thingvellir National Park
As part of your private tour, you’ll enjoy complete flexibility in how much time you spend exploring Thingvellir National Park. 5.00Amazing experience with BR Tours. Our guide, Jon, had an inexhaustible knowledge of all things Iceland and answered every question with thoughtful, in-depth responses. Beginning with the dozens of emails we sent asking for itinerary recommendations. The tour was spread out over 3 days returning to our hotel in Reykjavik each night. First day was the Golden Circle Tour. The day was packed so Jon had to keep 4 couples on track but he did so with a pleasant and respectful demure. He even adjusted the schedule when we wanted to stay at some locations longer. Day two included the South Coast tour and was a long day from Reykjavik. We spent several hours driving in the van but we had frequent stops and Jon again adjusted the schedule to our interests. Special thanks for the hidden gem dinner spot in Vik. Last day was the icing on the cake. Jon had recommended an ATV tour and this ended up being an experience we will never forget! As a mater of fact, all of Jon's recommendations for this trip were spot on. Highly recommend Jon and BR Tours for anyone visiting Iceland. You will not be disappointed! Perfect!

5.00Trip of a lifetime! Professional, courteous, and with strong relationships with other Icelandic tour operators (ATV, Zodiac, etc), Jon of BR Tours Iceland delivered the absolute best experience. Jon was able to accommodate all of our requests, and coming from a group of 8, Jon made everything seamless. Highly recommend for any age group or activity ability—Jon will put the best trip together for you.

5.00My husband and I just returned from a trip to Iceland with a group of great friends. While it was unforgettable for many, many reasons, Jon with BR Tours really put everything over the top for us. In the weeks leading up to our trip Jon was incredibly helpful while we tried to fit everyone’s bucket list activities into a few very busy days. (There were eight of us so it was a very long list!) Jon planned each day for us and advised of all the best options. He is exceptionally attentive and organized. And despite Iceland’s unpredictable weather, Jon adapted our plans effortlessly, always ensuring we got the best possible experience. He even pulled over for us to admire a group of Icelandic horses near the road because he knew we thought they were beautiful. Jon is warm and authentic, and by the end of the trip it felt less like we had hired a guide and more like we had made a friend. Do not even question it, just book him!

5.00Jon is personable, informative and accommodating. He will take you down some back roads to find the hidden side of Iceland. While there were only two of us, he can accomodate a larger group with a different vehicle. I have already encouraged my son to contact Jon and go with a group of friends.

5.00Our group of six had an amazing time on our private Golden Circle tour with BR Tours, booked through Viator. Every stop on the tour had the most incredible stunning sights. Our driver/tour guide Siggi was very informative, accommodating & friendly as well as an excellent, safe driver. Siggi never rushed us. We were able to tour all sights at our own pace. We also had a wonderful relaxing lunch at the cute and cozy tomato/ horse farm. Jon from BR Tours was my initial contact and responded to all questions without delay. Jon actually met up with us at the waterfall area of the tour to provide our group with crampons so that we could safely walk on the icy pathways. We really appreciated BR Tours going above & beyond which made for a most memorable experience.

5.00My son and I spent 4 days with Jon touring Iceland in Jan 2026. What an epic and amazing experience it was! Jon is an absolutely terrific guide and offers very professional service. We were pretty flexible and asked John to tailor. Take John’s advise if he makes a suggestion!! We had an incredible ATV and BBQ adventure…Will go down as one of our favorite highlight ever… Highly recommend Jon and we will use him again for sure!

From the moment we were collected at the airport and taken straight into our tour, Jon made our short 24 hours in Iceland feel like a true adventure. He ensured we experienced all the highlights of the Golden Circle and even included a few special extras that made the trip feel personal and unforgettable. Jon is genuinely a lovely gentleman — easy to talk to, engaging, and full of real, meaningful conversations. He was very kind to help my mum enter and exit the vehicle and was mindful about making the trip accessible for her so she could enjoy the best of everything we saw without being in pain. We learned so much about Icelandic culture, history, and geology along the way, all shared with passion and insight. His knowledge and enthusiasm truly brought Iceland to life for us. On top of this, Beyond Reykjavik Tours offers some of the most realistic and fair pricing we came across, making the experience even more impressive. 5.00We had, what can only be described as, a magical day with our tour guide Jon. Jon is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and thoughtful in his tour. We went in without many expectations and by the end of the day had fallen in love with the beauty of Iceland. We even passed Jon’s business card along to our hotel front desk (the Retreat Hotel) with a great reference for others staying there. By the end of the day we felt like we had a new friend in Jon. Definitely worth it.

5.00I cannot say enough AMAZING things about Jon. Normally I plan our international trips myself and my husband drives while I navigate, but with the late November shorter days and possible bad weather, we decided to go the guided route. No amount of my planning could have equaled Jon’s knowledge, experience, great photo-taking skills, and fun demeanor. We did one day along the Southern Coast and one day along the Golden Circle. We saw all the major spots, plus ones off the beaten trail. Throughout both days Jon answered all our questions and sprinkled in information that helped us really feel we captured the culture of Iceland. Use Jon-you will not regret it!!
