What To Expect
Golden Circle Route
Experience one of Iceland’s most iconic routes—the Golden Circle—with approximately 3 to 3.5 hours of total driving time. The journey includes about 1.5 hours to reach Gullfoss Waterfall, followed by a scenic return drive along a different route, offering new landscapes and perspectives. This well-paced loop showcases Iceland’s diverse terrain while keeping travel time efficient and comfortable.
Thingvellir National Park
As part of your private tour, you’ll enjoy complete flexibility in how much time you spend exploring Thingvellir National Park. Walk between the tectonic plates of North America and Eurasia, take in sweeping views of volcanic landscapes, and learn about the site where Iceland’s ancient parliament was founded over 1,000 years ago—all at your own pace.

5.00Our group of six had an amazing time on our private Golden Circle tour with BR Tours, booked through Viator. Every stop on the tour had the most incredible stunning sights. Our driver/tour guide Siggi was very informative, accommodating & friendly as well as an excellent, safe driver. Siggi never rushed us. We were able to tour all sights at our own pace. We also had a wonderful relaxing lunch at the cute and cozy tomato/ horse farm. Jon from BR Tours was my initial contact and responded to all questions without delay. Jon actually met up with us at the waterfall area of the tour to provide our group with crampons so that we could safely walk on the icy pathways. We really appreciated BR Tours going above & beyond which made for a most memorable experience.

5.00My son and I spent 4 days with Jon touring Iceland in Jan 2026. What an epic and amazing experience it was! Jon is an absolutely terrific guide and offers very professional service. We were pretty flexible and asked John to tailor. Take John’s advise if he makes a suggestion!! We had an incredible ATV and BBQ adventure…Will go down as one of our favorite highlight ever… Highly recommend Jon and we will use him again for sure!

From the moment we were collected at the airport and taken straight into our tour, Jon made our short 24 hours in Iceland feel like a true adventure. He ensured we experienced all the highlights of the Golden Circle and even included a few special extras that made the trip feel personal and unforgettable. Jon is genuinely a lovely gentleman — easy to talk to, engaging, and full of real, meaningful conversations. He was very kind to help my mum enter and exit the vehicle and was mindful about making the trip accessible for her so she could enjoy the best of everything we saw without being in pain. We learned so much about Icelandic culture, history, and geology along the way, all shared with passion and insight. His knowledge and enthusiasm truly brought Iceland to life for us. On top of this, Beyond Reykjavik Tours offers some of the most realistic and fair pricing we came across, making the experience even more impressive. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide or a better introduction to Iceland. Highly recommended! And we will be back

5.00We had, what can only be described as, a magical day with our tour guide Jon. Jon is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and thoughtful in his tour. We went in without many expectations and by the end of the day had fallen in love with the beauty of Iceland. We even passed Jon’s business card along to our hotel front desk (the Retreat Hotel) with a great reference for others staying there. By the end of the day we felt like we had a new friend in Jon. Definitely worth it.

5.00I cannot say enough AMAZING things about Jon. Normally I plan our international trips myself and my husband drives while I navigate, but with the late November shorter days and possible bad weather, we decided to go the guided route. No amount of my planning could have equaled Jon’s knowledge, experience, great photo-taking skills, and fun demeanor. We did one day along the Southern Coast and one day along the Golden Circle. We saw all the major spots, plus ones off the beaten trail. Throughout both days Jon answered all our questions and sprinkled in information that helped us really feel we captured the culture of Iceland. Use Jon-you will not regret it!!

5.00Egill is exceptionally knowledgeable about Iceland’s past and present. His tour included a scenic drive alongside Þingvallavatn and other fascinating points of interest (I contend the inventor of geothermal hydroponics should have a holiday or at least a prize named in their honor) in addition to the “must-see” stops along the Golden Circle. Whether your interest is Viking history, natural beauty, or locations from your favorite TV and movies, Egill is your man!
