Michael was an excellent guide to Derry and the events of Bloody Sunday. He also gave a great tour of all the murals in the Bogside, along with how Derry fits into the wider history of Northern Ireland. He was very happy to answer any and all questions we had. We would recommend this tour to anyone who would like to learn more about this fascinating and heartbreaking period of modern history.

I recently had the pleasure of taking a tour of the historic sites of Derry, and it was truly one of the highlights of my trip to Ireland. Our guide, Michael, was absolutely outstanding. His knowledge of Derry’s history was incredibly detailed, but what really set him apart was how engaging and passionate he was in sharing it. He brought the city’s past to life with stories that were both informative and deeply moving, giving real context to the places we visited. From the city walls to the powerful Sunday Bloody Sunday murals, every stop felt meaningful thanks to Michael’s storytelling. He was also very approachable, happy to answer questions, and made sure everyone in the group felt included. If you’re visiting Derry and want to truly understand its history and culture, I cannot recommend this tour highly enough A fantastic experience from start to finish!

Wonderful and vivid. Tales from a man who was there to see it all happen. Plenty of opportunities for photos and to take it all in.

Michael Collins provided a unique perspective from someone who lived thru "The Troubles" personally. Knowledgeable and interesting... I learned so much while enjoying a walk thru Derry. Highly recommend!

Would definitely recommend Michael’s tour, so informative and interesting. Starting in the city centre before heading to the Bogside, it really provider the context of what happened in Derry on Bloody Sunday and throughout The Troubles.

This was a truly life-changing experience. As an American, I had a somewhat minimal view of the history of Derry and The Troubles. Michael, my guide, gave me a history lesson to end all history lessons, and did it all in a charming, helpful manner. Any question I had, he answered. Any confusion I had, he sorted out. 10/10 would recommend to any human being and anyone even remotely interested in history-MUST do in Derry!
