From stunning architecture to hidden stories the experience was a wonderful insight into Mumbai’s rich cultural heritage. A huge shout out to my guide Rahul, who was genuinely exceptional. He is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the city’s history and kept it flowing and interesting. I really appreciate the work Rahul and the Khaki team are doing to preserve and share the stories that make Mumbai so special. I highly recommend this tour.

On 7th Jun 2026 Sunday morning I got a chance to do a the Faith Walk organised by Khaki tours and hosted/guided by Mrs.Nayana Tadvalkar. I felt the presence of historic religious places and believed or come to know about their history by nice informative discussion with the respective guidance of Mrs.Nayana. At every step around the corner of Fort streets i experienced the change in religious beliefs, their worship places, their connections or roots, their togetherness and a vision towards planning of H-shaped Bombay Island in 1800s era. I even come to know how the Mumbai great fire in year1803 made disaster and how the rehabilitation took place thereafter. I have seen worship places from temples, mosques, agyari, synagogue to churches and buddhism. The tour ends at Prince of Wales Museum or near Elphinston college where Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar studied and gave birth to New-Buddhism. Thank you. 🙏

I’ve been visiting Mumbai for decades, yet Vibhav’s South Bombay Heritage Walk showed me a city I realised I had never truly seen. The walk was perfectly paced and wonderfully curated. Beginning at the magnificent Asiatic Society, we explored the historic heart of South Bombay….St. Thomas Cathedral, the beautiful Gothic and Indo-Gothic buildings around the Oval, Kala Ghoda and its fascinating story, the Mumbai Police Headquarters, the old Sailors’ Home, and finally the iconic Gateway of India. What made the experience truly special was Vibhav’s storytelling. He seamlessly wove together centuries of history into a compelling narrative, taking us from the early colonial era all the way to modern Mumbai. Along the way were countless memorable nuggets: the story of Monginis Cakes, the fascinating tale of Sir Cowasji Jehangir Readymoney, spotting Ratan Tata’s office, learning that the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel predates the Gateway of India, and discovering how the Gateway itself was inspired by the Jama Masjid in Ahmedabad. The timing was impeccable too, allowing us to witness the flag-lowering ceremony at the Mumbai Police Headquarters… a wonderful moment that added yet another layer to the experience. What I found particularly inspiring was Vibhav himself. It is wonderful to see someone who has managed to keep a personal passion for history, heritage and storytelling alive while simultaneously building a successful career as a marketer with some of India’s leading consumer brands. His enthusiasm is infectious, his knowledge impressive, and his ability to bring history to life exceptional. I’ve been to Mumbai countless times over the years, but I’ve never seen it through the lens that Vibhav lent us. Familiar buildings became characters, forgotten corners became stories, and the city itself felt richer, deeper and far more alive. Whether you’re visiting Mumbai for the first time or have known the city for years, I cannot recommend this walk highly enough.

Explored Mumbai through a lens I had never seen before. Within just 1 square kilometre, we walked through stories of faith, culture, migration, history and coexistence. From Hindu and Jain temples to a mosque, a Jewish synagogue, an Armenian church cared for by the Malayali community, and even learning about the Parsi heritage of the city, every stop had a story waiting to be heard. Huge shoutout to khakitours.com for such an immersive experience and to our incredible guide Nayana who brought every street and structure to life with stories, facts and history. Mumbai is not just a city. It is a living

I did a BMC headquarter guide with my friends, one from Santacruz and other travelled from Philippines. I’ve stayed in this city for 23 years but never explored the heritage buildings. The guide Parvez took us through the history of the building and let us know the essence of the city Bombay. I love the fact that he let us be us and give time to click pictures and videos.
