As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it offers visitors a journey through time, where they can admire the intricate design and craftsmanship of structures like the Dabotap and Seokgatap stone pagodas, symbols of the temple's rich heritage. The graceful Cheongun-gyo and Baegun-gyo bridges, leading to the main temple complex, reflect the skillful fusion of nature and architecture. Inside the main hall, the serene statue of Seokgamoni Buddha invites contemplation and reverence, drawing visitors into a deeper connection with the spiritual traditions of ancient Korea. Bulguksa Temple is not only a place for historical exploration but also a haven for reflection and tranquility. The temple's harmonious blend of nature and spirituality makes it a favorite destination for those seeking both cultural enrichment and a peaceful retreat
Seokguram
The Seokguram Grotto is a unique and awe-inspiring temple built within a cave, renowned for its unparalleled beauty and spiritual significance. Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this grotto offers visitors a rare glimpse into the extraordinary craftsmanship and artistic mastery of the Silla dynasty. At its heart lies a stunning, perfectly preserved stone statue of the Buddha, seated gracefully in a lotus position. The Buddha, with its calm and serene expression, radiates an aura of peace and enlightenment, surrounded by a series of intricately carved bodhisattvas, guardians, and deities that enhance the spiritual atmosphere of the space. Seokguram is a masterpiece of ancient engineering and architecture, designed with precise mathematical and astronomical calculations to protect the Buddha statue from natural elements, preserving it perfectly for over a thousand years, and it is regarded as one of the finest masterpieces of Korean Buddhist art.

Jason was a pleasant guide. Explained the history of Gyeongju. Took us to a cute restaurant. Food was amazing and the mochi ice cream was also super yummy. Made it so much easier with hotel pick up and drop off.

This was a private tour led by Mia who is amazing! She drove us around Gyeongju! It happened to be Buddha's birthday and all the Temples and streets were lined with cute lanterns. Mia is very knowledgeable about what she was presenting to us and carried around pictures for certain places/things that we couldn't take pictures of (respect for the temples). She took us to lunch at a traditional Korean restaurant which was a 10/10 experience, the staff were all accommodating to dietary restrictions & great customer service! If I had to do trip again, I'd definitely book with Mia!

Grace was our guide to an amazing day of incredible history that she made come alive. She was a fountain of information and her love for her countries history shines through as she shares her knowledge. She graciously answered about a million questions with a smile and helped deepen our understanding of every place she took us. I can’t recommend this day or Grace enough!

Jason was a great guide, extremely knowledgeable on the Three Kingdoms of Korea and the background to the Bulguksa Temple, Seokguram, Tomb Complex and Observatory. Terrific guy and drove well, good English language and made us feel very welcome to tour Gyeongju as well as being a proud promoter of Busan. He also knew some excellent places to eat, with great bingsu, so five stars!
