As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it offers visitors a journey through time, where they can admire the intricate design and craftsmanship of structures like the Dabotap and Seokgatap stone pagodas, symbols of the temple's rich heritage. The graceful Cheongun-gyo and Baegun-gyo bridges, leading to the main temple complex, reflect the skillful fusion of nature and architecture. Inside the main hall, the serene statue of Seokgamoni Buddha invites contemplation and reverence, drawing visitors into a deeper connection with the spiritual traditions of ancient Korea. The temple's harmonious blend of nature and spirituality makes it a favorite destination for those seeking both cultural enrichment and a peaceful retreat
Seokguram
The Seokguram Grotto is a unique and awe-inspiring temple built within a cave, renowned for its unparalleled beauty and spiritual significance. Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this grotto offers visitors a rare glimpse into the extraordinary craftsmanship and artistic mastery of the Silla dynasty. Had a great day with our guide Finn. We were traveling with our two kids (10 and 14) my sis in law, and her mom and my parents (in 70s) so a very mixed group of interests. Finn was parent and flexible throughout the day and gave us good background and stories of the areas we visited. The car was very comfortable for our group of 8 people. We had limited time in Busan and were grateful to enjoy our day.

Korea Go is a great company to work with no matter which tour you choose. Dylan was very helpful with planning the trip and gave us great recommendations on what to see and do, and where to stay. We did 2 with them, but let me review the Gyeongju tour first. Jason our amazing tour guide picked us up at 9 am sharp and we were off. Good to start early as things get crowded. You can see from the itinerary on their web site what all we saw, but Jason was full of interesting facts, great information and we learned a ton about the Korean culture and people. If you are going to Gyeongju I highly recommend this tour. It is so hard to do it on your own (this are very spread out) and you will miss a lot of the historical/religious explanations. Also, an added bonus was Jason gave us a ride to Busan at the end of the tour so we didn't have to worry about luggage storage or train tickets - door to door service.
