Dong Thien Cung
In the morning tourist guide and driver pick you up from your hotel at about 8.00 – 8.30 Bus drive 170 km to the Northeast of Viet Nam ( 3,5 hrs ). Along the way you can enjoy the stunning scenery of the Red River delta with peaceful villages, farmers working in their green fields, herding their water buffalos, flocking their ducks, trading garden herbs by the side of the road. We also make a stop on the half way to stretch our legs, enjoy a coffee or tea… before we continue our trip to Ha Long Bay. Arrive in Ha Long bay at about 12.00. The tour guide takes you to the boat for cruising Ha Long Bay (4-5 hours). Seafood lunch is served while the boat cruises the bay to enjoy the beautiful limestone seascapeon the boat. After lunch, you have a chance to visit one of the most beautiful cave in Ha Long bay- Thien Cung cave or the Palace of Heaven Grotto (where in 1288 one of Vietnam’s most famous Generals Tran Hung Dao amassed hundreds of stakes deep inside the cave prior to a battle with an invading Mongol army). We walking up to the middle of the island, then go inside of the cave to exploring. There are a lot of stalagmites and stalactites look like some animals.

5.00We visited Halong bay and had a tour guided by guide David through caves, the chance to kayak through the bay, and a huge lunch of seafood. The drive was smooth, we were well taken care of, and our guide was very knowledgeable. We had the chance to chat about other places to visit during our trip and David had a ton of suggestions not just in Halong bay and Hanoi. Great experience and was a highlight of our trip!

5.00Our trip with Hien was wonderfully organized. Hien is very knowledgeable, reliable and friendly and his English is excellent. He added personal touch to the trip with his stories but also gave our family enough space and private time. The cave we visited was beautiful and the kayaking was a unique experience. The meal that we had on the boat was one of the best ones on our whole Vietnam trip. Highly recommend!

5.00Excellent day from start to finish. The guide and driver were precisely on time for our hotel pickup, friendly, and spoke flawless English. Modern cars, comfortable travel and a private boat with good food made this tour a joy. All felt very luxurious. No problem in recommending this. The private travel/boat especially felt peaceful compared to the coach tours and packed boats around us. Worth the price.

5.00This is an experience that we will not soon forget because it was joy and delight. We had a boat of 50 people to ourselves, a couple! and the first to have a guide, speaking in French. Tours even if we were not alone in these tourist places were excellently guided and the meal taken on the boat tasty with many dishes. Brief advice in number 1 Very positive assessment also for the head of the Agency who contacted us well before the excursion to ask us our characteristics and incompatibilities and who was able to find us a French guide during this period.

5.00We had the most magical day with our tour guide, Angela! She was so knowledgeable, kind, helpful and made us feel so welcome in her country. I would rate her a 20/10 if that was an option. My family loved every minute of the day. The boat staff were wonderful as well and the food was delicious… just too much for us to enjoy every bite.

5.00Had a fab time on this trip. Pick up was smooth with good communication from the company beforehand. Our tour guide Peter was wonderful, he personalised the timings of the day, gave commentary throughout the activities and took family photos of us at all the best spots. The boat was clean and comfy and there was plenty to eat at lunch time (if you let them know in advance that you’re vegetarian then they will arrange this no problem). We really enjoyed going into thiên cung cave and our mini tour on the row boat. A day trip to Ha Long Bay is a must do for anyone visiting Hanoi! 😊
