The experience will include not only a hiking through the amazing Sintra-Cascais Natural Park, but also we will drive through the small villages of Cascais and we will do a break for coffee in an unforgettable place.

The hiking will be around 5 km (1H30m to 2H00) with low difficulty, so everyone can do it.

The experience include pick-up/drop-off in Cascais Train Station, and a small snack during the hike.

We are licence by the Natural Park and we will provide several historical and local information during the activity.

The full experience is around 4 hours.

Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health

Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness

What To Expect

The hike will be split in 2 areas, a 5 km hike in the Santuario da Peninha area, follow by a 1.5 km hike in the dunes of Cresmina. We will have time for small snack in Peninha Area and then for coffe break in the dunes. Both areas of hiking are inside the beautiful Sintra-Cascais Natural Park, along with the hike you will have the opportunity to learn about the local history and traditions. We will take you from Cascais Train Station to the hiking location by car/van.

Beautiful scenery in a picturesque area. Animals in their natural habitat and places to take really great photos. Tour guide was very knowledgeable of the area and of plant and wildlife. He made it fun and a great workout!

Great hiking experience with a local guide. He was really knowledgeable having lived here almost all his life, and was able to take us to see various sights, explain the history, as well as go on less known trails we wouldn't have gone without a guide.

Beautiful day to hike in the Sintra Natural Park. Our guide Pedro was so informative not only about the forest and nature of the area but a lot of Portugal history overall. We learned so much about the importance of cork which we had been seeing everywhere. The views over Cascais and the ocean are breathtaking. Highly recommend!

If you are Italian and want to discover the wonderful Sintra you can only rely on Stefania to do a tour! Sintra is very dislocated and has points of interest at great distances from each other. We only realized after we agreed to do it that actually the guided tour was the best choice. The value for money compared to other options, such as tourist buses and buses, is definitely affordable. A fantastic experience absolutely recommended!
