From there, you’ll soar past the Hengill volcanic system, where geothermal energy powers the region, and glide over Þingvellir National Park—a UNESCO World Heritage Site rich in geological and historical significance. Continue on past the vast Skjaldbreiður shield volcano.
Weather permitting, we’ll touch down on a glacier for an unforgettable pause surrounded by panoramic views and deep tranquility.
On the return to Reykjavík, witness Glymur, Iceland’s tallest waterfall, cascading through a dramatic canyon.

5.00The experience with Volcano Heli was simply exceptional from beginning to end. From the first contact, the team demonstrated enormous professionalism, friendliness, and attention to detail, making the entire booking process easy and quick. On the day of the flight, the organization was impeccable. We were warmly welcomed by Helena, who was extremely helpful, ensuring we felt comfortable and confident before takeoff. The pilot, Matthias, was not only highly professional but also very friendly, explaining the route and sharing interesting facts throughout the flight. The helicopter was in excellent condition and ideal for this type of tour due to the visibility from any of the seats. During the tour, we had absolutely breathtaking views, landing on the glacier where we stayed for a few minutes to take photos and appreciate a unique perspective of the landscape that is difficult to achieve otherwise. What truly sets this company apart is the quality of service and the attention dedicated to each client. The commitment to providing a memorable and special experience is clearly evident. Without a doubt, I recommend this company to anyone looking for an unforgettable helicopter tour. It was a fantastic experience that exceeded all expectations and one that I would certainly repeat without hesitation.

5.00Had the pleasure of a private tour with VH and they were wonderful start to finish. Pick up direct from the hotel which was fantastic. Our lovely pilot Julian was approachable and knowledgable- giving us amazing freedom to do some fantastic exploring across an area of the Southern Highlands. The photographic opportunities were next level. Would thoroughly recommend this as a special occasion for any couple/family. Awesome!

5.00From start to finish the experience of booking and communication between us and volcano heli was incredible. The service provided was amazing, and if we had any questions or concerns about booking times because of the weather they were super accommodating and fast to reply or answer our calls. Our pilot Matt was a local Icelandic, and he was phenomenal, sooooo relaxed and a lot of fun and also very professional and reassuring. He was really knowledgeable about every area we flew over and always had a great story to accompany each fact about the areas. He also accommodated our needs as well as fulfilled the full expectation of the tour we booked. The tour we booked was the glacier expedition and it was everything we were told it would be, we stopped just off the glacier to be able to see the beauty and in the middle of a little oasis. It was out of this world. To be the only people there and have the whole glacier to ourselves. The ground team were amazing as well, super friendly and professional. I have to say with this tour we got everything we were promised upon booking which is amazing these days. I cannot recommend them enough. And we will never forget this experience. Worth every penny and more.
