Join us for a one-day guided ice climbing adventure near Almaty. In the morning, we’ll head to the mountains to spend the day climbing one of the three local waterfalls. If you’re new to ice climbing, we’ll teach you the basics and proper climbing techniques, and set up a top ropes to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. For experienced climbers, this is a great opportunity to explore the Almaty mountains in a unique way. The ice climbing season typically begins in December and lasts until March.

It was our first time ice climbing and it was amazing! Big thanks to Katya! We had a group of three people and everyone climbed twice. Katya was super friendly and nicely taught us everything we need to know. And even made some photos and videos from drone. And of course it was very beautiful out there! =)

My partner and I had an amazing ice climbing experience with Silk Road Guiding! It was our first time and our wonderful guide Katya was very informative and taught us all the basics and provided us with all the necessary equipment. Since the tour was private we got to climb the frozen waterfall a couple times each which was great!! We used a top rope climbing system as well for the climb so always felt safe. 10/10 experience!!!
