Annaya: the mountain hermitage of Saint Charbel — Lebanon's most venerated saint, canonised by Pope Paul VI in 1977, whose monastery and hermitage draw pilgrims from across the world to a remote mountain village that has barely changed since he died there on Christmas Eve 1898.
