Jeita Grotto — New 7 Wonders finalist · UNESCO tentative site Two cave systems that consistently top Lebanon's must-visit lists. The upper cave on foot — stalactites and stalagmites up to 8 metres tall, formed over millions of years. The lower cave by silent electric boat along an underground river — a stillness and scale that photographs cannot capture. Your driver covers the key geological facts at the entrance. You explore at your own pace inside. ~1 hr 30 min · ~45 min to Ixsir Entrance fee payable on site. Photography not permitted inside. Lower cave boat ride may close during high water seasons.

Great day out seeing outer Beirut

5.00We had an absolutely fantastic day out, all three locations were amazing. Great day trip and took us approximately 9 hours from start to finish. Some bad communication between the organiser and the driver to start with to do with location on hotel and timing, but after we set off, it was great! Our driver Ali was very knowledgeable about the sites and gave us enough time at each destination to explore my ourselves. He was a safe driver and was well connected to the tour guides/ticket offices at each destination. All three locations do not include entry which is not clear in the purchase of the tour until you receive the confirmation. But it's not expensive, yet you should have cash to pay in. Overall a fab experience and a definite must do!
