The Lemosho route is considered the most scenic trail on Kilimanjaro, granting panoramic views on various sides of the mountain. As one of the newer routes, Lemosho is a superb choice for your climb. It is our preferred route due to its ideal balance of low crowds, beautiful scenery, and a high summit success rate.

The majority of our clients climb Kilimanjaro using the Lemosho route and their feedback on this route is excellent. We highly recommend the Lemosho route to our clients. The climb begins at Lemosho Gate at an altitude of 2360 meters, with a western approach. It then circles around Kilimanjaro to the south, passing through majestic rainforest, home to some of the region’s most unique wildlife. The route continues up to Shira Ridge; the mountain’s third summit.

Planning and communication: Elias was very helpful in answering any questions we had, and he was very responsive! We had many questions around the best route during the rainy season - they made sure to provide us with the right information so that we could make an informed decision. Elias offered additional support in arranging travel/driver logistics! Guides: our guides Innocent and Benson were the best complimentary duo! They were very knowledgeable and they struck the right balance of staying professional and always keeping spirits positive and energising. We both suffered from nausea and headaches due to the altitude, but they made sure to monitor our symptoms closely - down to our daily water and food intake. We felt incredibly safe in their hands! Crew: the most incredible crew! The crew have made the 7 days as comfortable and luxurious as a Kilimanjaro climb can be. Everyone was warm and friendly - always delivered on positive vibes and high energy! Couldn’t have asked for a better crew to spend a week with! Food: chef Arnold was incredible! He somehow managed to make unique meals every single time. Not sure how this was possible when there’s limited cooking appliances - but he made it happen. We both lost our appetite and had continuous nausea from day 3, to help with the nausea chef Arnold prepared fresh ginger tea for us every afternoon, and even asked us what we wanted to eat/could stomach given the nausea. The team even took note of a local dish we mentioned we really like and had chef Arnold prepare it for our final lunch - the attention to detail!! Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better tour provider. We wanted to make sure that we selected a provider that was locally owned which was why we selected Nafika initially. After spending 7 days with the crew, hands down couldn’t recommend them enough!

It's very important who's going to be around the whole way! Quite by chance, stumbled across Nafiq's tour company. The meeting realized we wanted to ascend with them, as the manager's sincere smile would not leave his face. They didn't miss. They were in touch during the gathering and helped with the selection of equipment and answered all questions. His team surrounded the whole way with care, comfort and a charge of positivity. We didn't even expect such a service - delicious food in abundance, a one-room tent, if lunch was caught in transit, we set up a table and chairs with a hot lunch. Every day, the chef offered a choice of dishes. Every morning the doctor made a checkup. Every minute, the whole team was motivated to keep going! We always had hot water to wash, we were drying things. And the freshener in the toilet tent, that's the top! They've really thought it through, the tourist will only have to accept it and rise. Just before the summit, I had an uncontrollable tantrum, Mashake and Efate (our guides) helped me calm down and not turn around. Definitely recommend Nafika tour and thank them from the bottom of my heart! Because thanks to them, we rose and flew with a huge baggage of emotions!

Thank you so much to Nafika Tours for the trip of a lifetime! The entire experience was very well organized and made the challenge of getting to the top that much easier. From airport pickup to drop-off, the team was very professional and super fun and friendly. We did the 7-day Lemosho route. Every day started with hot tea/coffee in the tent, warm washcloths to clean up, a health check, and a very filling hearty breakfast. The team provided snacks for us every day, and set up the full lunch tent at the halfway points of each day so we could be comfortable (it was pretty rainy and cold at times on our trip). When we arrived at camp every afternoon, the tents were all set up with sleeping bags and packs ready for us (and more hot tea of course). The tents themselves were very spacious and sturdy. We also used the mats and sleeping bags they provided, which were very warm even at Barafu camp. Our guides (Efata and Mesha) were also amazing, providing positive vibes, motivation, and showing their experience. Every evening ended with a detailed rundown of the next day, including what to wear and what challenges to expect. This made it very easy to be prepared. The crew went above and beyond when it came to safety as well - when one of us was experiencing altitude sickness symptoms at the summit, the porter team rushed up to help him down the mountain quickly before it became serious. All in all, we could not have had this amazing experience without Nafika Tours. Highly recommend!

My 27 year old daughter and I went on: 4 day safari and then climbed Mount Kilimanjaro with Nafika Tours , and this local outfitter do these excursions in the best of the best way .Nafika Tours exceeded our expectations constantly…..day after day after day. From the moment we began to inquire about the trip, when we dealt with Elias , everything was as smooth as silk. A solid guy who made sure we had everything we needed to get things rolling smoothly. Then the safari, with a fabulous guide named Octavian , was top-notch. He was extremely knowledgeable and lots of fun. The accommodations after each day on safari far exceeded our expectations and we saw many many animals including the big five and migration. And the team Nafika Tours assembled for the climb was awesome. The staff, their preparations, and positive atmosphere they created throughout the daily grind of the climb made it easy and comfortable for everyone. Food and equipment tents, provided by Nafika Tours was of good quality. Food was more than enough and more delicious more than that we are having in our home. They made us believe that we would definitely reach the summit…and we all did! Truly an unforgettable experience that was made absolutely amazing by Nafika Tours .

This was a life-changing experience. We organized the trip ourselves, and after a lot of research, we decided on Nafika Agency — and honestly, we couldn’t have made a better choice. These people took our adventure to a whole new level. We have never, anywhere, felt that much care and kindness. There are no words to truly describe how professional, precise, and dedicated they are to their work. This is the strongest recommendation we could ever give for any service — Nafika truly earned it. From the owner, to the guides, to the porters — everyone was outstanding. Thank you once again for the unforgettable moments. Greetings from Montenegro! Miskoooo brateee!!

  • Life-Changing Experience! Nafika Tours is the Gold Standard for Kilimanjaro

If you are planning to climb Kilimanjaro, look no further than Nafika Tours. My wife and I just completed the 7-day Lemosho route, and we can say with 100% certainty that we wouldn’t have reached Uhuru Peak without this incredible team. 1. Seamless Planning & Professionalism From our very first inquiry, Elias was a standout. As first-time high-altitude climbers, we had a million questions. Elias was incredibly responsive, professional, and prompt. He provided deep insights and honest advice that helped us feel prepared and confident long before we stepped foot in Tanzania. 2. A Team That Feels Like Family The crew Nafika assembled was world-class. Our guides, Innocent and Leorgad, were professional, encouraging, and highly skilled. Chef Priver is a wizard in the mountain kitchen—we genuinely loved every single meal he prepared. What truly sets Nafika apart, however, is their heart. On our descent from the summit, my wife began feeling unwell. Without a second thought, the entire team mobilized. The porters and guides actually walked almost halfway back up the mountain to assist in carrying her down safely. Their care and dedication were move-than-heroic. 3. Going Above and Beyond (The Luggage Save!) Our checked luggage (containing essential gear like sleeping bags and duffles) was delayed on arrival. Nafika could have easily made extra profit by renting us their gear, but they chose integrity over profit. The team went to the airport extremely early on the second day, retrieved our bags, and rushed them to the Lemosho gate just in time for our climb. That level of service is rare and deeply appreciated. 4. Perfect Logistics Beyond the mountain, every detail was handled. The transport was punctual and the lodges arranged for before and after the climb were high-quality, comfortable, and very convenient. Nafika Tours doesn’t just "organize treks"—they take care of you like family. We highly recommend them to anyone looking to summit the Roof of Africa. Thank you, Elias, Innocent, Leorgad, Priver, and the entire porter crew for making our dream a reality!

  • More Than a Climb — A Life-Changing Journey with Nafika Tours

Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro was something I had dreamed about for a long time, and doing it with Nafika Tours made the whole experience very special for me. It was definitely challenging physically, but it was also emotional and humbling in ways I didn’t expect. From the start of the 7-day Lemosho route, I felt well looked after. The team helped with gear checks, reminded me to drink water and eat properly, and always kept an eye on how I was feeling. On days when I felt cold, tired, or unsure of myself, their encouragement really helped me keep going. My guide Elly was outstanding. He was calm, patient, and very experienced, and he knew exactly when to slow the pace and when to motivate me. Summit night was extremely tough, but his quiet confidence and support made a huge difference. The food was another highlight. Jonathan, our cook, somehow managed to prepare warm, tasty meals even at high altitude. As a vegetarian, I was really impressed with the variety and effort he put into every meal. The porters - Weedi, Immanuel, Alex, Nelson, and Ibrahim were all incredible. They worked so hard every day and still welcomed me with smiles, songs, and laughter when I reached camp. Their positive energy lifted my spirits more than they probably realise. Reaching the summit was unforgettable, but what I will remember most is the people who helped me get there. Nafika Tours is a local company, and you can feel the pride and care they put into their work. I would happily recommend them to anyone planning a Kilimanjaro climb.
