The Lemosho route is considered the most scenic trail on Kilimanjaro, granting panoramic views on various sides of the mountain. As one of the newer routes, Lemosho is a superb choice for your climb. It is our preferred route due to its ideal balance of low crowds, beautiful scenery, and a high summit success rate.
The majority of our clients climb Kilimanjaro using the Lemosho route and their feedback on this route is excellent. We highly recommend the Lemosho route to our clients. The climb begins at Lemosho Gate at an altitude of 2360 meters, with a western approach. It then circles around Kilimanjaro to the south, passing through majestic rainforest, home to some of the region’s most unique wildlife. The route continues up to Shira Ridge; the mountain’s third summit.

This was a life-changing experience. We organized the trip ourselves, and after a lot of research, we decided on Nafika Agency — and honestly, we couldn’t have made a better choice. These people took our adventure to a whole new level. We have never, anywhere, felt that much care and kindness. There are no words to truly describe how professional, precise, and dedicated they are to their work. This is the strongest recommendation we could ever give for any service — Nafika truly earned it. From the owner, to the guides, to the porters — everyone was outstanding. Thank you once again for the unforgettable moments. Greetings from Montenegro! Miskoooo brateee!!

If you are planning to climb Kilimanjaro, look no further than Nafika Tours. My wife and I just completed the 7-day Lemosho route, and we can say with 100% certainty that we wouldn’t have reached Uhuru Peak without this incredible team. 1. Seamless Planning & Professionalism From our very first inquiry, Elias was a standout. As first-time high-altitude climbers, we had a million questions. Elias was incredibly responsive, professional, and prompt. He provided deep insights and honest advice that helped us feel prepared and confident long before we stepped foot in Tanzania. 2. A Team That Feels Like Family The crew Nafika assembled was world-class. Our guides, Innocent and Leorgad, were professional, encouraging, and highly skilled. Chef Priver is a wizard in the mountain kitchen—we genuinely loved every single meal he prepared. What truly sets Nafika apart, however, is their heart. On our descent from the summit, my wife began feeling unwell. Without a second thought, the entire team mobilized. The porters and guides actually walked almost halfway back up the mountain to assist in carrying her down safely. Their care and dedication were move-than-heroic. 3. Going Above and Beyond (The Luggage Save!) Our checked luggage (containing essential gear like sleeping bags and duffles) was delayed on arrival. Nafika could have easily made extra profit by renting us their gear, but they chose integrity over profit. The team went to the airport extremely early on the second day, retrieved our bags, and rushed them to the Lemosho gate just in time for our climb. That level of service is rare and deeply appreciated. 4. Perfect Logistics Beyond the mountain, every detail was handled. The transport was punctual and the lodges arranged for before and after the climb were high-quality, comfortable, and very convenient. Nafika Tours doesn’t just "organize treks"—they take care of you like family. We highly recommend them to anyone looking to summit the Roof of Africa. Thank you, Elias, Innocent, Leorgad, Priver, and the entire porter crew for making our dream a reality!

Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro was something I had dreamed about for a long time, and doing it with Nafika Tours made the whole experience very special for me. It was definitely challenging physically, but it was also emotional and humbling in ways I didn’t expect. From the start of the 7-day Lemosho route, I felt well looked after. The team helped with gear checks, reminded me to drink water and eat properly, and always kept an eye on how I was feeling. On days when I felt cold, tired, or unsure of myself, their encouragement really helped me keep going. My guide Elly was outstanding. He was calm, patient, and very experienced, and he knew exactly when to slow the pace and when to motivate me. Summit night was extremely tough, but his quiet confidence and support made a huge difference. The food was another highlight. Jonathan, our cook, somehow managed to prepare warm, tasty meals even at high altitude. As a vegetarian, I was really impressed with the variety and effort he put into every meal. The porters - Weedi, Immanuel, Alex, Nelson, and Ibrahim were all incredible. They worked so hard every day and still welcomed me with smiles, songs, and laughter when I reached camp. Their positive energy lifted my spirits more than they probably realise. Reaching the summit was unforgettable, but what I will remember most is the people who helped me get there. Nafika Tours is a local company, and you can feel the pride and care they put into their work. I would happily recommend them to anyone planning a Kilimanjaro climb.

Had an amazing experience with my Nafika crew of 7, led by our guide Max. Everyone was incredibly positive, motivating, and genuinely caring throughout the trek. They checked in on our health regularly and always made safety the top priority. From pick-up to drop-off, everything ran smoothly — not a single hiccup. Highly recommend Nafika!

I summited Kili third week in September 2025 with team at Nafika Tours on a 7 day Lemosho route. I started researching local companies in the summer. The founder and owner Elias was polite and great to work with. His timely responses and guidance over email and being available for phone calls was greatly appreciated. He arranged for a driver to pickup at airport and made reservations at the hotel of my choice. The afternoon before the trek, he personally came to visit me at the hotel with the lead guide. He assembled a great experienced team. Elias was also present at the certificate ceremony. I highly recommend Nafika Tours.

We completed four trips with the Nafika tours: a safari, a trip to waterfalls, a climb on Mt. Meru and a climb on Kilimanjaro. Taking part in the Kilimanjaro expedition was one of the best experiences of my life. The entire trip was extremely well organized – from the first contact all the way to the safe return down. The guides were amazing: professional, patient, and encouraging, with detailed knowledge of the route and local conditions. Each day they explained what to expect, monitored our acclimatization, and made safety their priority. The camp accommodation was surprisingly comfortable, the food was excellent, and the porter team worked with incredible dedication. The pace was set just right – “pole pole” 🥾 Summit day was challenging, but with the team’s support and the great atmosphere, it became an unforgettable moment. I highly recommend these expeditions with Nafika tours to anyone looking for adventure, beautiful views, and a strong sense of personal achievement. A perfect experience from start to finish! 🌄💪

We completed four programs with the Nafika agency: 1) a safari, 2) trip to the waterfalls with a coffee tasting, 3) climb on Mt. Meru including acclimation hike to Little Meru 4) 7days climb on Kilimanjaro via Lemosho. Thanks to the whole team, friendly, supportive atmosphere their care, knowledges and professionalism we managed to reach both summits. Other Pluses: - we appreciated individual approach of Elias (CO of Nafika) to us as a clients, - everything we arranged with Elias was followed through exactly as agreed, - everything went smoothly and on time - tents of Nafika were larger than those of other groups in the camps, - services were more extensive than those of other agencies, -the overall service exceeded our expectations and the level of European standards. I would like to highlight our amazing cook chef, who despite our very strict diet (due to a food allergy) managed to literally conjure up a variety of delicious meals. We also thank the porters and especially our guide, Innocent, who fully adapted to our pace and even our need to listen to music. We felt very good with him during both climbs.

An unforgettable experience, one that will remain in your heart forever. In six days on Kilimanjaro, I experienced a journey that went far beyond just climbing to a peak: it was a challenge with myself, a constant amazement at the force of nature and an incredible inner discovery. Every day was unique: from lunar landscapes to misty forests, from fiery sunsets to nights under a starry sky. The team of guides and porters was amazing — professional, kind and always ready to encourage with a smile. Thanks to them I felt confident, motivated and part of something really big. The arrival at the summit, at Uhuru Peak, at 5,895 meters, was magical: a mixture of tears, joy and pride that cannot be described in words. Watching the sun rise above the clouds and knowing you are on the roof of Africa is an emotion that I will carry with me forever. I recommend this trek to anyone who wants to challenge themselves, breathe pure freedom and discover how strong we are when we really believe in ourselves.
