We were neatly picked up by bus from the hotel by a local Japanese lady (Martha-san) and an interpreter (Chloe), who has lived here for 14 years. We went to Martha's house where we both got a traditional Kimono. There is still a lot involved in doing this in the traditional way. Then we took a walk along the river with her dog Non-chan. Made a lot of nice pictures. Everyone was super nice. Highly recommended.
