• Kyoto day trip

  We booked this tour with the expectation of a certain driver whom we had seen positive review about his abilities and after emailing the tour operator to confirm this driver we received a text the evening before our tour in Kyoto that it would not be the driver that we were expecting . The driver picked us up the following morning at 8-8:10 am in front of our hotel and then we went to get gas in the Toyota minivan (we didn’t think this qualified as a luxury vehicle per the billing) although we liked the experience of learning that gas stations in Kyoto were full service and they washed our windows we didn’t feel this was appropriate to get gas on our time and the driver should have had the vehicle gassed up before picking us up. There was also a language issue even though the driver said he spoke English, Japanese, and Nepalese. The person in our party in the front seat had to use google translate to communicate with the driver all day. We were quite happy with the air conditioned vehicle and the guide went into the different temples with us but did not provide the level of “guiding” that we were expecting. The tour went longer than expected and we were happy that the guide didn’t rush us at the end of the tour.

• Fantastic tour of Kyoto with Malik!

  We had an amazing day with Malik. He picked us up at our Airbnb at 8:30 am and took us all around Kyoto in a really amazing super comfortable luxury car. He was very knowledgeable and told us all about the sights. We would never have been able to see as much as we saw without him and traveling by car. It was a long day but he kept our young kids entertained as well. I highly recommend Malik as your guide.

  Our guide was very polite and flexible with us. Whilst he had historical knowledge because he could answer all of our questions we would have liked for him to give us a deeper historical explanation throughout the tour without our asking. Our day was lovely we covered all the important places in one day and that was helpful.

• A Magical Day Kyoto!

  We had the most amazing day in and around Kyoto with our fantastic driver, Sha!! He was knowledgeable and made sure we were able to see many beautiful locations in the Kyoto area including the most famous as well as more unique and out of the way places! At the end of our day he even surprised us with amazing views of pagodas and sunset from a charming neighborhood that we never would have found on our own! We would highly recommend Sha and would request him the next time we are in Kyoto!!
