Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine
You can see Japan's background that is off-limits to ordinary tourists after the tour. This short trip is a fantastic and great value way of experiencing Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine! We are here to help you discover new things, the Fushimi Inari Shrine is so more than its famous tunnels of vermillion-red torii gates. Most people are satisfied by a scenic view of it. But this has a lot of stories to tell that will connect you to the Japan's history and culture and your guide will show you deeper. You will see a fascinating story attached to the origin of the shrine dedicated to the god of grains – that’s what “Inari” means – . This is also why you’ll see statues of the fox around the shrine. “Kitsune” or the fox is a servant to the god Inari. They are cunning tricksters, clever minded animals who make perfect guides for the treacherous business world. You may would want the foxes on your side after this tour.

Kazz toured us through four key cultural sites. We were driven in and picked up at main entrances. He took our photos with his own camera and shared the link with us the very next morning. Excellent communicator, very personable. Highly recommend this tour with Kaz!!

Our tour was through Japan Guide Agency. Ken, our licensed tour guide was great- and having a separate driver made it possible to visit 5 places in Kyoto with only a day there! 1. Ken picked the 5 of us up on the Shin platform in Kyoto (we took train from cruise port) and helped us with our return train tix. 2. Ken was knowledgable about the city, Japan's history and each location we visited. 3. He worked with us to developed a personalized itinerary and even had sun umbrellas and cold water for us! He also helped to manage stairs and elevators to make the extensive walking easier. 4. I would definitely recommend using this tour company...and Ken in particular. Thank you for making our day in Kyoto so memorable.

Excellent tour. Kazuko took us to several places we would never have known to visit on our own. She provided history and context to the places we visited that we were also unaware of. The driver was terrific, always parked nearby and immediately available so we were able to see many things which would have otherwise been difficult on such a hot day. Highly recommend.

Our guide, Aoki, was fantastic!!!! She gave us such an informative and interesting tour. The driver was very thoughtful and kind, and when it started raining he brought umbrellas to us. They were both super flexible with my disorganized family. This was a perfect service and Aoki and our driver were spectacular! She also gave us fun tips and recommendations.
