It will be 3 hours of Guatemalan magic, you will live a stately experience, where I will show you the cuisine of Guatemala.
I will take you to my house that is located in one of the most exclusive areas of the city, you enjoy beautiful avenues from a 21st floor, and I will invite you to cook in my kitchen, I will take you back to the past with a demonstration of a Mayan ceremony, and we will be tasting the dish that you choose, I will explain step by step and where your dish comes from.
Includes 3 times where I choose your entry and posts I am is a surprise to you.
I use fresh and seasonal ingredients, traveling more than 200 km to bring the best of Guatemala and include it in your food.
Depending on the season we can make hot cocoa, a surprise gift from our culture, I will take home a special ingredient, a photo with a typical Guatemalan costume.
It is an activity to get out of the ordinary, and get to know Guatemalan culture in depth.

5.00We spent a magical evening with Chef Wilfredo, learning, cooking and dining in his beautiful home with stunning city views. He carefully planned a traditional menu and explained Mayan traditions and flavours. Chef Wilfredo speaks good English and is politely attentive to all guest needs. We enjoyed a three course meal with Mayan beverages, serenaded by traditional music. No special cooking ability is required, just openness to the new experience. Chef Wilfredo is a true gentleman and an expert in his field. It was a privilege to receive his specialist knowledge about traditional Mayan recipes and flavours. An exquisite dining and cultural experience that we can’t recommend highly enough! Safety note: Chef Wilfredo picked us up personally from our hotel in his own vehicle and his home is located in a safe district of the city with a high level of security on the garage, entrance and elevator. This cultural experience is probably the safest evening activity available in the city. We were a group of two ladies and had no security concerns of any kind while we were with Chef Wilfredo.

5.00This experience was amazing, Chef Wilfredo is very knowledgeable and food was exquisite. Love the way he explained food ingredients and ask each member of our group to participate to assist to help handle few processes. He made Guacamole that was amazing, He prepared a powdered sunflower seeds dust which was the star of the night.

5.00We had a great time learning how to make Papian. I chose this dish as my family had ordered it a few times at various restaurants in Guatemala. We also learned how to make the best black beans. Chef and his family were very kind and welcoming. Would recommend this activity for those who are interested in learning how to make Mayan dishes.

5.00I booked a morning private cooking experience where I got picked up from my hotel on my birthday, taken to the local market to buy fresh produce and taken to the location to continue our process. We did a 3 course meal which was honestly so delicious and I would recommend everyone to try it. 10/10 would recommend.

You can taste the heart and soul that’s put into each course and will leave satisfied from your stomach to your soul!!
