Next, visit a real Omani family house where you will be greeted with rose water. Together with the family, witness the ancient way of cooking chicken BBQ on rocks, which is mostly famous in the south of Oman. Once the meal is ready, sit on the floor with the family to enjoy lunch. Afterwards, your guide will take you to try the famous Omani sweet, "halwa", for no charge.

Bahla Fortress is a medieval citadel in the town of Bahla, on the road to Nazwa, in the lower Jebel Akhdar highlands. It is considered the oldest fortress in Oman. It was built of adobe in the XIII-XIV centuries. It is surrounded by a 12-kilometer wall.
