Our driver will pick you up at hotel lobby. Take about 1.5 hour’s drive from Beijing City to Mutianyu Great Wall and hike on the wall as long as you can. Mutianyu Great Wall is one popular section of the Great Wall but less crowded than other sections, well-known for its beautiful surroundings-the dense woods and rich pastures changing colors with the seasons of the year. After the trip, transfer you back to hotel.

What To Expect

Mutianyu Great Wall

The driver will pick you up at your hotel, it's about one and half hour to drive to Mutianyu Great Wall. The start time is flexible. During the holiday or weekends, it's better to start earlier to avoid the crowds. Upon arrival, your driver will assist with tickets and then leave you to explore independently. Optional extras include a ride to the top of the wall by cable car and a toboggan ride back down (both own expense). Depending on your arrival time, you typically have around three hours at the wall to hike and take photos. After the wall visiting ，the driver will take you back your hotel in Beijing.tour ends.

I speak Mandarin but my kids do not so I wanted to have an English speaking driver that helped us get to the Great Wall. Joe knew the best place to park and to beat the crowds. I suggest that you go very very early because it gets crowded at the wall super quick. Long drive but not being a tour bus was the win. I added an additional stop to the Ming tombs and realized that since I booked so late, the tomb that we were taken to was not worth it. Need to plan ahead better if you want to do more than one location.

The tour was better than expected. The price is really comfortable. We were picked up at our hotel in a very clean private car. They take you to the place and they do not leave you in the parking lot they take you to the main entrance with your ticket, they know where to enter that there are fewer people and give you the best indications without them I am sure we would have taken a long time. They wait for you at the front entrance when you leave and help you buy things or with doubts to communicate, if English is good. Then we were taken to a stop for an amazing test tea to drop you off at your hotel again. He's a super polite person and very friendly is completely worth it

Joe was an excellent driver and guide. He knows how to escape from crowd and long que line. We could enjoy the great wall without any annoying delay. So we could also have relaxing time after the tour. Joe and us also had nice conversation. Thank you Joe!!

A few days before we were contacted via Whatsapp to find out the name of the participants and their passport so that they could buy for us the ticket to the Great Wall. On the day of the tour our driver, Bruce, arrived super punctual at 6am as we had requested. The trip was smooth and Bruce was super nice and helpful. Once we arrived he made us the tickets for the chairlift and the toboggan and accompanied us to the turnstiles. We were the first! We were lucky enough to be able to take pictures without other people around. When we went out Bruce was out waiting for us and drove us back. The company also made us have a welcome by giving us fruit and water. Absolutely recommended. It's not every day you see one of the Seven Wonders of the World and doing so was the best choice.
