Our driver will pick you up at hotel lobby. Take about 1.5 hour’s drive from Beijing City to Mutianyu Great Wall and hike on the wall as long as you can. Mutianyu Great Wall is one popular section of the Great Wall but less crowded than other sections, well-known for its beautiful surroundings-the dense woods and rich pastures changing colors with the seasons of the year. After the trip, transfer you back to hotel.

What To Expect
Mutianyu Great Wall
The driver will pick you up at your hotel, it's about one and half hour to drive to Mutianyu Great Wall. The start time is flexible. During the holiday or weekends, it's better to start earlier to avoid the crowds. Upon arrival, your driver will assist with tickets and then leave you to explore independently. Optional extras include a ride to the top of the wall by cable car and a toboggan ride back down (both own expense). Depending on your arrival time, you typically have around three hours at the wall to hike and take photos. After the wall visiting ，the driver will take you back your hotel in Beijing.tour ends.

5.00We had an awesome time on our visit to Mutianyu Great Wall. Our driver Ruby was fabulous and we really appreciated her guidance, patience and help with my elderly mother. She helped us get tickets for the cable car (really the chairlifts) to tower 6 and made suggestions on the direction that would be easiest for our mother. Two of us enjoyed the recommendation to take the toboggan down which was a lot of fun. It was indeed a great suggestion by Jenny to set out early at 6:30am rather than our original time of 8:00am we booked for. The drive there was smooth and quick and avoided traffic and the crowds which arrived later when we were ready to leave around 11:00am. It made for some fantastic photos with very few people around. Having such an early start also meant we got back to our hotel in time to spend the afternoon exploring more of Beijing city. This driver service fitted us perfectly as we just wanted to get to the Great Wall and enjoy at our own pace. Would thoroughly recommend as the service and communication was excellent. 5.00My driver Peter arrived early and greeted me in the lobby of my hotel. He was very friendly, spoke great English and conversational. This was no doubt one of the best tours I have ever taken and it was because Peter made it exceptional. We arrived at the Great Wall early and he escorted me all the way to the top of the mountain where the Great Wall starts. He explained the wall to me and where to meet him when I was done. I was done early so I invited him to enjoy some local noodles with me which I really enjoyed. He then invited me to stop for a tea ceremony on our way back which was fantastic. Overall he went above and beyond! I highly recommend!

5.00My driver was Jack, who not only taught me about The Great Wall’s history, but who also took me up on the wall himself, even snapping a few pictures for me! Having a driver take me on the hour-long trip to the wall, and wait for me after my two-hour long trek was super helpful and worth the journey! Stopping by the Jade Factory was also a blast! Thank you so much for this amazing experience that I will never forget!

5.00Amazing views on this section of the wall. Driver Fei/Jack recommended an early start and we were rewarded with a very empty wall and great light. Jack drove up to the cable car itself and sorted the tickets. We walked to tower 20 and came down using the cable car. As ever in China remember to bring your passport.

5.00Our guide Fei/Jack recommended an early 6.30am start and how right he was. We were rewarded with a nearly empty wall and beautiful early morning light. All arrangements were smooth. As always in China remember to bring your passport. We took the cable car up and down.

It was our first time in China he was hair on time at the meeting at the airport exit with a sign we didn’t have to look frankly he’s too nice a guy!
