We did a private night tour with Jan. Once we got through the Renaissance Festival maze, we connected with Jan on a fantastic tour. Having lived in this part of the world pre-Velvet Revolution, it was nice how Jan could weave in our experiences then and how things have changed now. His historical insights and knowledge and supporting pictures were great. If you want an individual tour that is not just focused on highlights, Jan is your man. And his recommendations email following the tour was great. Díky Jan!!

A wonderful night tour of Cesky Krumlov focusing on the history of the area, from its founding up until the communist period. Our tour guide Jan is a local and told us fascinating stories including local folklore about the area. Jan also shows pictures at certain points of the tour and you can really feel the history of Cesky Krumlov come alive. At 89 € for up to a group of 5, I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to learn more about Cesky Krumlov from the perspective of someone who was born and raised here.

Our family had a great experience exploring CK through our night tour. We were only in town for one night and we felt that this tour was a great way to maximize our time for our short stay. Our guide Jan provided a fun and informative tour with lots of interesting stories. We would definitely recommend!

Jan was an excellent guide with a great sense of humour, and had a lot of exciting stories. My boyfriend and I still mention him when comparing him with another guide we met on our trip. Thanks for making us know more about Cesky Krumlov.

Jan's tour was great! I arrived in Cesky Krumlov in the early evening on a one-night visit and booked the Wiseman private night tour so I could hit the ground running the following morning. It was exactly what I was looking for. Jan is a lifelong local who is passionate about the history of his city and happy to share his city with visitors. He is personable, witty, helpful, and speaks English very well. We did a lap around the old town and the tour provided a great overview of its history and the major sights to see. The photos Jan shared with the projector definitely helped make the stories come to life. He also made two restaurant recommendations that both overlapped with the guide book I brought. Plus the city was quiet and some of the views were quite beautiful at night. It was definitely expensive compared to the daytime tours if you're a small group, but for me it was worth it to make the most of my short time in the city. Also, as a side note, Jan messaged me the afternoon before the tour to offer to start earlier, so the start time is flexible based on the guide's schedule. The message showed up as a text message that I couldn't reply to, but I was able to respond via TripAdvisor.
