Nikki was outstanding! We were on a cruise and booked this tour because we never like the big group tours that the cruise ships offer. What a fantastic experience. We arrived on the Friday before (Orthodox) Easter, so Nikki had to make some adjustments for opening times. Our first stop was a family-run vineyard and winery. Incredible. The people were so gracious. The Grandfather was the wine maker. We got a tour of his very small production and bottling facility. We got to taste his wines, all of which were excellent. His wife brought multiple platters of Greek goodies to taste while sampling the wine. She made her own phyllo dough, picked greens from the field behind the house to stuff the phyllo and made her own bread that she used to make bruschetta. All absolutely wonderful. It is hard to find experiences like this - once in a lifetime. Nikki then took us on to Olympia where we walked around the town with her for a bit and got to sample some Greek iced coffee drinks. Then on to the ancient Olympic stadium. We felt so fortunate to be with Nikki on a private tour as we watched the ship-organized tour groups of 25+ people being led around like sheep. Nikki was very knowledgeable about the Olympic site. It was a real joy. The weather was perfect - sunny and around 68 degrees. Then, unfortunately, it was back to the ship. Nikki is a fabulous tour guide and we highly recommend her. You will not go wrong!

We had our own archeologist as a guide! She was fantastic. The birthplace of the Olympics is a must see. A great way to see Olympia!

The tour and guide were excellent. We opted not to go to a winery or olive oil refinery. The ruins were amazing and we all learned so much! Our guide was great and coordinated well with the driver. The vehicle was fine though not as nice as other tours. Something that could improve the tour would be a microphone in the car. Our guide was very soft spoken so it was hard yo hear her with the air conditioner on in the car.

Our driver & guide picked us up from the port in a spacious minibus in Katakolon for the 30+ minute drive to Olympia. Stavros, our guide, was so informative by creating visions of what the historic area was like back in the day with the gymnasium, stadium, temple and baths. If only we could have been here just a few short months ago to see the lighting of the torch for the Olympic games preparation. Be sure to add Olympia to your "must see" list and ask for Stavros as your guide.

Our guide was great and very knowledgeable. We really enjoyed visiting Olympia. Our only criticism would be that it would have really helped if we would have audio headsets so we could have all heard better.

Maria was our tour guide at the Olympia site. She has superb knowledge of the history of her area. She gently guided us through the ruins and made it came to life. Dmitris provided smooth transport to and from the site. We learned more about Olympia during our drive with him. For a seamless time in Olympia, we recommend this tour group.

We found Niki's info through a Rick Steves book and immediately reached out! She was very responsive via email and got us set up for pick up from our hotel in Athens for a day trip to Olympia and organized the guide with payment amount that would be due to the tour guide (which as a tourist was very helpful for me so I didn't have to question what's the normal amount, tip? etc). Our driver was amazing as well and the tour itself was very thorough and at a pace that worked for us. Our guide even encouraged us to race on the Olympic track, and I'm glad we did. Would definitely recommend spending the day here and learning about the history.

This is an exceptional tour of Olympia. It started with Zoie meeting us at the pier with a warm smile and a beautiful minibus that was well air-conditioned and in pristine condition. She is an archeologist, which was wonderful for explaining the process of finding the site and for the history. We left with a wonderful knowledge of life in ancient Olympia and a visual sense of the Olympic Games. I cannot recommend this tour more!!! Pro tip: book at 10:00, as the ship’s groups all leave at 8:00. This gives time for the crowds to dissipate before you arrive. We got back to the ship an hour before All Aboard time, which was perfect for souvenir shopping at the port town.

We particularly enjoyed the monastery and beautiful surroundings. Our guide Sophia was very knowledgeable and helpful particularly with my husband who had to use a walker to get around.
