We hired Alida catamarn for 3 days whale watching and island hopping trip. We were skeptical first about the presence of whales and logistics of hiring a boat for the first time. After the trip we were so thankful we did. Everything was just brilliant - from boarding experience to asking for information. We went island hopping with Pelican Island being our most memorable visit. What a place right in the middle of sea. Further north, we were lucky with the Whales. We did not have to break any sweat to see the mighty creatures. Whales were everywhere - left, right and front. Infact few of them showed the whole bridge move right in front of us. When we anchored the boat for night , few dolphins decided to give us a visit! Amazing trip. We did the trip in mid September which helped as this was the peak season for whales to be around Fitzroy island. About the boat, it was very well presented. We were shocked with the quality of internet as I was able to work for few hours each day. Starlink connectivity on Alida worked far better than expected. They have TV ( which we did not use ), Fully stocked Kitchen, Fridge, Freezer and mini Freezers. Tap water was available for all 3 days of our trip and I only became aware of rationing needs for longer trips on the last day. For 4 days or shorter trips, don't put any effort to hoard water bottles :) Sleeping rooms were very comfy for one each. Two adults can squeeze in comfortably. Indoor Living area has enough seats for 5 and outdoor can comfortably sit 8 for dinner. We had a great trip and will come back next year with more islands to explore.
