My 16 year old and I took a half day 4x4 trip with Ridgeline Tours. It was AMAZING! This was not your run of the mill commercialized tour. It was a private tour off the beaten path. We didn’t even see another person until we were exiting the park. The guide was a local who was super knowledgeable and knew exactly where to take us for the best views. He even brought plenty of snacks knowing I had a 16 year old boy. 😜 We were lucky enough to see a family of Moose, dear, and turkeys. We are definitely putting this on our must go back list! But next time we will do an all day tour! 🙌🏻 Pictures just don’t even do the views justice!

I took my two boys (ages 10 and 13) on the Pikes Peak Backcountry Adventure Tour, and it turned out to be one of our favorite days together. We got off the grid, explored nature, and took in some incredible mountain views. Our guide was easygoing and knowledgeable, and the pace of the tour was just right—enough adventure to keep it exciting without ever feeling rushed. The boys especially loved finding a rope swing and scrambling around on the huge boulders. We also drove some narrow trails between towering rock formations, which added the perfect sense of adventure. The vehicle was comfortable and spacious. This tour gave us a great mix of exploration and quality time together in a beautiful setting. Highly recommend for families or anyone looking to unplug and enjoy Colorado’s backcountry.
