What To Expect

The climb is carried out in the Manzano sector. The activity seeks to be able to experience this sport safely with certified instructors and in a controlled environment contemplating and enjoying a day in nature. In order to get to the climbing sector, you walk along a path that has characteristic species of the sclerophyllous forest such as Quillay, Peumo, Boyen and Liter, among others. After approximately 1 hour of trekking in the middle of the forest, you will reach the climbing sector, a place from where you can see a panoramic view of the valley.

The expedition was incredible, the punctuality, knowledge, support and professionalism of Ecocaminante fuero superlativas. The first day we moved from Santiago to Cajon del Maipo and after an induction to the crossing we walked to the "Plató" of Cerro San Gabriel. There we set up our camp, dine and share on the mountain. We also train techniques for using Crampons and Self Detention on ice. The next day we dawned well early and began the ascent towards the summit, all reaching our goal at noon. We enjoyed an incredible hike and a spectacular summit day to then return, disarm camp and return to our homes. Definitely a recommended experience and one I would love to repeat.
