Please note that the Vatican Museums provide free entrance for visitors who are (according to the requirements stated by the Vatican City) at least 74% disabled by presenting the appropriate certification and, if one needs assistance by another person, that person also receives a free entrance. Please inform us when you are booking if you fit into these requirements and we will remove the pricing of the entry tickets from the price of the tour.
Please provide the full names of all travelers when booking. Failure to present a voucher with all travelers' full names at the ticket office prior to entry may result in denied entry to the Colosseum and Roman Forum.
As this is a walking tour with steps and staircases, comfortable walking shoes and a bottle of water are strongly recommended.
If reservations at the Pantheon are not possible for weekends or if the lines are too long, the guide will give you the explanation from the outside to ensure all other stops on the tour are not missed.
Please advise during the booking process if there are any travelers with mobility concerns so that we can best accommodate you.
Each traveler must present a valid passport or ID document that matches the name provided at the time of booking for successful entry to the Colosseum and Roman Forum.
Due to the Jubilee, some monuments may be under restoration. Please pay attention to any messages we may send regarding potential changes.

5.00It’s highly informational and interesting but requires much walking so be prepared. Our guide Camilla did a fantastic job educating us about Rome in an informative and entertaining way. After 8 hours strolling around Rome and Vatican, we learned a new appreciation for ancient civilizations thanks to our guide.

5.00After researching a lot, we settled on a private tour of Rome with Through Eternity Tours. It was very easy to do the booking online, and because it was a private tour we could customize it a bit to meet our needs. It was not inexpensive but well worth it to see what we could in a day without having to worry about transportation, tickets, etc. Our guide for the day was Serena, a delightful and very knowledgeable guide. She was friendly and informative, and patient with us Americans. The morning portion was a golf-cart tour with Lorenzo as our driver (he was fabulous- he knew all the streets of Rome and could get us around so easily, especially in a golf cart!) We drove around for a bit to see the sights, then went to the Forum for a great walking tour. Serena was friendly with all the ticket takers, and could get us in easily and quickly. We had lunch with her at a nearby restaurant, then she called a driver to take us to the Vatican Museums. Since we only had a few hours, she was able to pick out the best pieces/rooms to see and highlight. Because the Conclave was going on, we did not get to see St. Peter's Square or Basilica unfortunately. I would highly recommend this tour company, and request Serena for your guide!

5.00Enrica spent the entire day with us. We avoided all lines (invaluable) and Enrica kept it relevant and fascinating, not only for us, but for our grade school son. She even played hopscotch with our son between monuments and exhibits. We clearly saw three times the number of important sites than if we had done it ourselves, and the extra cost of the private tour was worth every penny and more!!! She was a wealth of information, but not just minutiae, her stories and narrative brought a cohesive and memorable picture together in the clearest possible focus. My sincere advice, go with Through Eternity Tours and Enrica and with a private tour; when the cost is long since forgotten, our memory of an incomparable day in one of the world’s most important and historical cites lives on and on!!!

5.00Gracelyn was one of the best guides we’ve ever had! So knowledgeable and engaging. It was the last day of our 14 day trip - we were tired, and weren’t sure how a 6+ hour walking tour would go…and it was one of the best days we’ve had! Each of us ranked the tour - and Gracelyn - as one of the best things we did in Italy. A tour through the Colosseum, a walk through the forum, the Pantheon, Trevoli Fountain, and Vatican Museum/Sistine Chapel. Plus a stop for lunch - and a stop for gelato. Fabulous day - and fabulous guide. When we are back in Rome we will definitely reconnect with Gracelyn and Through Eternity.

5.00Maria Letizia Bruschi was the kind of seasoned tour guide I was hoping to get for our private, just my wife and I, six hour + a break for lunch "Rome in a Day" tour. An art historian by training and a Roman by birth, Ms Bruschi's knowledge of ancient civilizations, important historical figures and events etc. runs wide and deep, and she had no trouble at all fielding my many questions while at the same time keeping us moving. Her obvious passion for her work was infectious and she had our rapt attention until the end.Another tour guide who we encountered along the way called her "the best", something that I was not surprised at all to hear.She even patiently helped me map out our next days sight seeing itinerary. Well connected with all the guards we encountered, Ms Bruschi got us right to the head of the line every time,A very satisfying experience!

5.00This was definitely the best thing we did in Rome! Our guide, Thomas, was incredibly knowledgeable and fun to spend the day with. He did a perfect job of blending both the culture of the city and the history, and really made us feel immersed in Rome. He was passionate and insightful, and was able to go in depth with answers to every single question we could possibly have. It's a fantastic private tour, really spending the most time to see exactly what we wanted to and were most interested in.

5.00This was an excellent full-day (9am/4pm) tour private guided tour. Great way to discover the city and see the highlights. It was a very hot day (90F) and so quite challenging for the kids, but having our private guide was a huge saver of time (skipping lines, taking shortcuts…) and energy. Maria Letizia was our guide for the day. She managed to engage our 9 and 12 year olds for much of the tour, booked a table at a nice quiet (and cool) restaurant and generally made our lives so much easier. She introduced major concepts of history, art history, architecture etc, very quickly without overloading us. Thank you!!!
