There are various itineraries to choose from, depending on your interests. One option is to leave Douro Marina toward Ribeira and enjoy the most breathtaking views of Douro river estuary and Porto city (Dom Luís I bridge, Alfandega do Porto, cellars, etc). Another option is setting a course to west toward the Porto skyline. On this course we would see, the Arrábida Bridge (at the time of its completion [1963] the bridge's main span of 270 metres [890 ft] was the largest of any concrete-arch bridge in the world). Once on the ocean we would see Porto Cruise Terminal that was design by the Portuguese Architect Luís Pedro Silva and deserved top spot in the category of ‘Public Architecture' among the best architectural projects worldwide. Sit back and enjoy a beverage while enjoying the views and sailing. For the more adventurous, help sail the boat by taking the helm or working a winch. Impromptu sailing lessons are always available from Captain Raul. Your charter concludes at Douro Marina situated in the picturesque fishing community called St. Peter of Afurada, here, you can continue visiting this parish at your leisure and own expense. Bring your camera, your sunglasses, some sunscreen, and don't forget to bring a Bluetooth device loaded with your favourite music. • Up to 4 or 6 passengers • Enjoy a relaxing sailing cruise along Porto's beautiful Douro river and shoreline • Captain services includedPlease note: Price listed is per boat, so you will only need to select one adult for your booking of a maximum of 4 or 6 people.

Raul, went above and beyond for our experience. We did an ocean sail that was an amazing experience. He and his crew, Ricardo, was kind and informative to our kids whom wanted to helm the boat. The accompaniment of wine, cheese, meats and other items was a fantastic break during the sail that was a romantic touch for the wife. Raul had to overcame a serious logistics issue ahead of our trip. This shows his character to ensure we had a great experience. If you have fair wind and ocean conditions I would not hesitate to sail the coast of Porto and Gaia with Raul. Regards, Jason Samara

Raul welcomed us onto his boat for the afternoon. He prepared a fantastic selection of local cheeses, meats, breads and wine and toured us up and down the river and then over to the ocean for a sunset cruise. We have two boys - with a lot of energy and questions - and Raul entertained us all. This was a highlight of our trip... we’d definitely tour with him again!!

Like all the other 56 "5 star reviews" we had a splendid time aboard the Agronauta with Capitan Raul and First Mae Carlos. The most enjoyable couple of hours while in Portugal sailing the river and sipping por. Raul is passionate about sailing, answering questions about history/culture while pouring some delicious port. Really was the highlight of of our stay in this beautiful city. Thanks Raul!

Very very great trip. The captain and his crew are very nice and try a lot. We got two bottles of wine and wonderfully lovingly prepared snacks with fruit, bread, cheese and Portuguese specialties. Really highly recommended.

We were sooo lucky to spent a wonderful evening aboard Argonauta with an amazing sunset on the ocean. Even the sea was a big rough we felt safe and happy in this beautiful sailingboat. Thanks so much to Raul and his crew - hope to see you again!
