Our Private Scottsdale Off-Road Jeep Tour is a bumpy guide-led adventure on the most scenic Sonoran desert trails in the Scottsdale area. You will enjoy spectacular sights as your professional tour guide teaches you about Sonoran desert flora, fauna, and Native American history. Since our permitted trails are connected to North Scottsdale, you will receive more trail time than any other off-road tour in the Scottsdale area.
Private tour vehicles: Jeep Wrangler Unlimited (6 seats) with forward-facing seating, Jeep YJ (7 seats), or Jeep Gladiator (14 seats) with vertical-row (sideways) seating.
Scottsdale Adventure Tours is a commercial special recreation permit-holder through the U.S. Department of Agriculture: Cave Creek Ranger District and the U.S. Department of the Interior: Bureau of Land Management.

This is a guide-led tour; guests will NOT be driving the Jeep.
Our bumpy off-road Jeep tours are low-speed, jarring rides through rough terrain. Please ensure that every guest in your party understands that this off-road tour is a low-speed, bumpy ride through rough terrain.
Please carefully review our list of health restrictions and requirements. Due to safety concerns, we are unable to accommodate guests who do not meet the tour requirements. Ensure each guest in your party reads and understands the tour requirements. There will be no refunds issued to guests who fail to read and understand the health restrictions and requirements of this tour.
Not recommended for travelers who get motion sickness
Must be physically able to climb in and out of a lifted Jeep Wrangler.
Not recommended for passengers with any condition that could be aggravated by a rough, bumpy, and jarring off-road Jeep tour.
Weight limit per seat: 275 pounds. Call our office ahead of time to arrange an alternate vehicle and an alternate route.
Pregnant individuals are prohibited from participating in this high risk activity.
Cancellation Policy
For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

5.00Can’t recommend this tour enough. It was a fun adventure to do with the kids. Scenery was beautiful and our guide David was wonderful!! He was knowledgeable, fun, and friendly. The kids were entertained and the adults learned a thing or two about the Tonto national forest.

From start to finish, it was the perfect combination of thrilling excitement and fascinating education about the desert and local history. Ed was an outstanding tour guide and driver. His energy, confidence, and deep knowledge of the area made the entire adventure unforgettable. He kept the adrenaline pumping with an exciting, thrill-seeking ride while also sharing so many interesting facts about the Sonoran Desert, wildlife, and Scottsdale’s history. You can tell he truly loves what he does. The views were breathtaking, the ride was exhilarating, and we felt completely safe the entire time thanks to Ed’s expertise. 5.00I had an amazing time on this jeep tour through Tonto National Forest! The scenery was absolutely breathtaking — classic Arizona desert views, towering cacti, and incredible mountain landscapes the entire ride. Our guide, Jay, truly made the experience unforgettable. He was knowledgeable, personable, and had the perfect mix of humor and insight. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does and knows the area so well. He made everyone feel comfortable while still giving us an exciting off-road adventure. If you’re visiting Arizona and want a fun, memorable way to experience the desert, I highly recommend this tour — and definitely ask for Jay if you can!

5.00Allen and Chaz were amazing guides/drivers! Our family had SO much fun. They shared a lot of interesting information and made it fun for the kids as well. They were so helpful in taking pictures. And providing us with eater and blankets was an added bonus. We highly recommend !
