It was an early day but we got to Ghent in time to see the 10:15 opening of the alterpiece. We visited the castle next then hed off to Bruges for more fun. Peter was an awesome and safe driver and friendly. I love this type of tour because you get to make your itinerary your own. Got back to Amsterdam by 6pm. Long day but enjoyed all the sights!

Peter, our driver, did an excellent job of getting us to the key market and significant historical sites. Easy walking access, no problems with drop off or pick up! Job well done

Tour was a great way to see the medieval Belgian towns of Bruges and Ghent from Amsterdam in 1 day. The tour is a long day (12 hour tour), which includes ~7 1/2 hours round trip drive time, ~2 hours in Ghent, and ~2 1/2 hours in Bruges. To mention, in the the towns, this is a self guided tour. The highlight in Ghent is touring the beautiful Gravensteen medieval castle, which takes at least 1 hour and is a must to do. Other options are a canal boat cruise, having a coffee and Belgian waffle at the many cafes, and visiting several churches, but due to the limited time, it is not possible to do everything. In Bruges, the highlight is a canal cruise around the central historic area, but other options are visiting churches, shopping at the many stores, and getting lunch at the many restaurants. Ideally it would be good to have at least 3 hours in Ghent and 3 to 4 hours in Bruges as there is so much to see and do. However this tour is a great way to visit Belgium from Amsterdam and see two fabulous medieval towns in one day.

Hamza was great! He met us at the designated spot and did his best to navigate traffic and construction to ensure we had the most time possible at the locations. The castle was very interesting and Brugge was a beautiful city. When we arrived Hamza shared a list of recommendations that helped us use our time to the fullest. We could have spent more time exploring the city, but to fit it all in one day from Amsterdam, we made good use of the time. Hamza was very accommodating and made sure we had a pleasant experience.

Tour guide did not show up. We dragged the kids out of bed at 6:30 am and waited an hour. Finally got a message 1.5 hours later that they had an issue and could be there after another hour. We did a different tour with Trip Advisor and their communication was great. I will not book with Viator in the future.
