Yolanda tried to give us a good tour despite everything being closed for holiday. We especially wanted to see the WWII museum but it was closed. Those in the back seats had a hard time hearing as she told about what we were seeing. It would have been better if she had talked into her phone at the loudest level. It was disappointing for us to do the tour when I told the company repeatedly that we were interested in the WWII stuff. They should have told us that the museum was going to be closed. That’s the main reason for four rather than five stars. Still, Yolanda gave us a lot of information on New Caledonia which we all appreciated learning about.

Very informative , lovely lady doing the commentary . Would recommend in such a short time frame we we were in noumea . She was also great with the kids and getting them involved as well .
Disappointing private tour in Noumea

Unfortunately our private tour was underwhelming. For $322 USD, we expected a more engaging experience but we only visited 2 points of interest, one of which was closed so we had to peer through trees to get a little look at the building. While the tour guide and driver were lovely and friendly the itinerary was poorly planned and no way worth the price. Honestly you'd be better buying a hop on hop off day pass to explore the city at your own pace.

I asked to add an additional person and was told the tour was full. NO seats available We arrived early and was taken immediately with 5 open seats We were the only people in the van. Also asked tour guide to stop and was told we can get a taxi to go back. Also our tour was only 50 minutes not 60 minutes I could have got a taxi to do what I wanted for full time for less money.
We did a private tour around Noumea in a mini bus , two couples and the driver , very comfortable way to do a trip.

We had a great trip with Clayton our driver , he was friendly , informative and obliging . The firm was very understanding as we were unable to get off the ship to meet the time we had originally booked because of a union March going on in the town . I would recommend this firm to anyone going to Noumea , much cheaper if you book before leaving home and not booking as a shore excursion from the ship . We went back and did another trip with them also .
