Enjoy Silfra snorkeling with a private guide. Silfra Fissure is 2-4 degrees temperature. Choose between a drysuit or a wetsuit for a Viking experience as we spend about 30 - 40 minutes max in the crystal clear water. A wetsuit allows you to to be more flexible and dive under while a drysuit helps keep you warm as you let the light currently slowly take you down the crack between continents.

All participants must know how to swim and be comfortable in water
All participants must be able to communicate in English
Please note that that dry suits can sometimes feel quite tight and constricting, especially around the neck and wrists
Minimum age is 12 years, please reach out regarding younger participants & Participants over the age of 65 need to get a physicians approval.
Be at minimum 150cm (4’9) tall / maximum 200cm (6’7) tall, and be at minimum 50kg (99 lbs) / maximum 120kg (264 lbs)
Don't wear glasses, instead bring contact lenses or your own prescription mask (if you have one)
Recommended to bring a change of clothes (the drysuit has a very small chance of leaking)
We recommend wearing long thermal underwear and thick wool socks a a base layer under the drysuit
All participants heights, weights and age must be provided to local operator. If you do not provide at time of booking, please contact supplier immediately after booking to provide this information
All participants will need to fill out a medical form before participating in the tour. Please find a link to the medical statement on your ticket voucher right after booking the experience to be sure if you qualify.
Please dress according to weather - no heals or jeans
Note: Each guide can assist one group of up to six participants at a time. Up to three different groups can be present during this activity.

What To Expect
Snorkel in a dry- or wetsuit at one of the top dive sites in the world. Visibility at about 100m in the crystal clear glacial water - between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates.

5.00Just WOW !! Arnil,our guide, was super friendly and very reassuring seeing as we were about to go snorkeling in gla ial melt water with an outdoor temperature of minus 5degrees C. What a fabulous view though. The clarity of the water and rock structures were breathtaking. I really recommend this to anyone looking for a unique experience. The water wasn't as a cold as the air temperature, but despite the stunning views, 40minutes snorkeling was time enough in the cold, before being recharged with hot chocolate.

5.00Everything was amazing. Our guide was so awesome and helpful and made us feel at ease, not to mention patiently herding us around like kindergartners getting all 5 of us into our gear. I was the only one wearing a westsuit to everyone else’s dry suit and I was kept pretty warm, except my feet. Going in January we were super lucky to not see too many people (well actually we had the whole place to ourselves, and we even had some sun!) I’m sorry I didn’t get our guides name but she was from Poland and so cool! Thanks! This mermaid really enjoyed herself!

5.00My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed the snorkelling session with Dory, it was a unique experience that we’re glad took part in. Dory explained everything very well, provided gear to size, made sure everyone understood the safety measures, took underwater pictures and made sure everything was in order. 5 stars well deserved, would recommend this experience to everyone.

5.00Great experience. The water is clear which allows us to see the fault. With waterproof suits you have a good time, only the lips and hands are frozen. Dory was great throughout the whole experience.
