Our private surf lessons don't follow a cookie cutter approach. We plan to customize and mold the lesson to fit your needs and hopes for your surfing experience. We pride ourselves on having the highest - end surfing equipment in town and more importantly, our surf instructors are the kindest personalities on the central coast!
We believe a surf lesson is made great by the energy and expertise of a strong instructor, which is why we think you'll fall in love with surfing and our instructors on your surf lesson!

What To Expect
You'll meet your instructor at our surf truck located at the beach where you'll get suited up in a wetsuit, grab a long board, and walk to the sand for beach instruction. After some brief teaching on surf safety, etiquette, and technique we'll head into the ocean to catch some waves! Your instructor will be coaching you and pushing you into waves to make the experience a memory that will last! Our lessons are private so you or your group will have their own instructor and personalized experience. The majority of our lessons are for first timers which is why our lessons include: a surfboard, wetsuit, and 90 minutes of private instruction. Typically, lessons are taught at beaches with a sandy bottom and gentle waves perfect for all levels of surfers! While not required, gratuity for instructors and guides are always appreciated. Our guides and instructors are paid hourly, but tips do make up a portion of their wage. Guides work hard both before and after prepping, and cleaning gear on either end of the event! If you have a great experience you can show them your appreciation by adding gratuity after the lesson.

5.00My two kids (aged 9 and 6) had an amazing time! The strand is a great place to learn to surf - it’s shallow out far, with plenty of manageable waves - both kids were able to stand up many times over the course of their lesson, both with the instructor and independently. And the instructor was patient and kind, and gave the kids great tips. Definitely recommend!

5.00Trevor was an excellent surf coach! My daughter and I had surfed two years prior and Trevor was able to quickly get us back up to speed. We had two sessions with him over two consecutive days and he was very good at identifying the steps needed to get us back up on the board consistently. Great communication, clear website, and an excellent value.

5.00I booked surf lessons for my 3 grandchildren, ages 5, 8, and 11. The lessons were at beautiful Cayucos beach. Trevor met us with all the gear and gave the girls some instruction before entering the water. He was so patient- especially with the 5 year old. They enjoyed the lessons so much that we booked another one for the next day!

5.00Surf lessons with Travis are a must! My 2 teen girls had a great time and were riding the waves at the end of the session. Travis was kind and patient with the girls and was able to adjust his teaching to each of their learning styles. I highly recommend surf lessons with this company. It was an amazing experience that got my girls hooked on surfing and counting the days till they can surf again.
