I booked this tour for my family of four (we are frequent cruisers) about four months in advance for our stop in Tortola, aiming to make the most of our longest day off the ship. I was eager to avoid the typical cruise line offerings and explore more of the island, so I had high hopes for this tour. The communication leading up to our tour date was good, and everything seemed promising. Unfortunately, the actual tour did not meet our expectations or match the description provided. First, we did not tour on the pictured boat, Cap’n Crunch, with Captain Richie, which was disappointing. Instead, we were on a much older and worn-out boat, and the ride was quite rough, which could be uncomfortable for anyone with back or health issues. Additionally, the snorkeling experience was underwhelming. The spots we visited had very little to offer. Fortunately, we had brought our own snorkel equipment because there was none available through the tour, which wasn’t mentioned ahead of time. We also never received any drinks aside from a bottle of water when we first boarded the boat. While we were originally interested in exploring less touristy parts of the island, we ended up spending most of our time at Jost Van Dyke beach, which, while beautiful, was not what we had intended. Our stop at the caves was also cut short when several boats yelled at us, claiming we were not allowed to be there. At our request, we left the caves without experiencing them. Ultimately, the tour did not live up to what was promised, and we left feeling that we missed out on the unique, authentic experiences we had hoped for.

Richard showed thr family great time. Got to the Baths before everyone else and walked the hiking trail by ourselves! What a beautiful location. Then got to do some great snorkeling in the caves followed by relaxing time a beach and local restaurant. Family had a blast on the Captain Crunch!

Richie was great. Got us to the baths before anyone else showed up. We had the whole place to ourselves. Weather wasn’t great but he still found place for us to snorkel with turtles, go to sea cave and eat at an intimate restaurant on a small beach. Worth it!!!

The was not a good tour. Captain Richie (owner and operator) should have canceled due to rough seas. We were not able to go to 2 of the points interest. He did take us to Norman island for lunch After lunch when I asked about the location of the sea caves he said oh it just around corner. There were people snorkeling and enjoying the caves but he didn’t allow time for us to do that. He had no enthusiasm or guidance about how to have the best experience. We were very disappointed I would not recommend this tour.

Our family group of 10 (4 adults and 6 kids ages 10–16) had the most amazing day in Tortola thanks to Captain Richie! It was each person's favorite day of our entire cruise trip. Richie was incredibly kind, helpful, and the perfect host for our 6-hour adventure. What made this excursion truly special was the ability to completely customize our itinerary—we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Captain Richie picked us up promptly at 7:00 AM at our cruise port, and we set off on his boat for our first stop: The Baths. Unlike the usual way of getting there by taxi, we pulled right up to the beach and swam a short distance to shore. Being the first to arrive, we were able to enjoy the iconic path from Devil's Bay to the Baths beach in peace, taking about 25 minutes. The scenery was breathtaking, and everyone in our group loved exploring this unique and stunning spot. Next, Captain Richie took us to a tiny, picturesque island—a little sand mound with a few palm trees. It felt like something out of a dream! The kids couldn’t get enough of jumping off the boat and playing on the island, and it was a highlight for all of us. Finally, we headed to Jost van Dyke, where we spent the rest of the morning at the Soggy Bottom Dollar beach. It was hands down the most beautiful beach I’ve ever seen, with its powdery white sand and crystal-clear blue water. Captain Richie provided snorkel gear for the kids, and they had so much fun exploring the water. None of us wanted to leave—we could’ve stayed there all day! We are frequent cruisers and this was truly the best excursion we’ve ever been on, and we owe it all to Captain Richie’s hospitality and expertise. If you’re planning a trip to Tortola, I can’t recommend him enough.

What a fantastic day traveling between the BVI islands. Started off with The Baths, snorkeled with sea turtles and colorful fish, fabulous lunch on Norman Island and ended the day on a beautiful white beach in Jost!

Richie was incredible. Professional. Excellent communication before trip. Answered every question asked. Return called promptly, before 24 hours. On time for pick up. Spotless boat. He was very attentive to everyone's needs, Boat had everything needed to enjoy the day. noodles, beach mat, snorkel, sunscreen, water. In 10 years, we have used boat excursion's and Wet and wild was the absolute best. Boat was stocked with safety devices, great stereo. Richie assisted in and out of boat every time.

We took a day tour with Capt Richie with my elderly mother, her friend and my 2 children (ages 10 and 13). Capt Richie was accommodating to make sure my mom was able to get in and out of boat safely. He pointed out sea life along the way, including black tip reef shark, sea turtles and barracuda! My kids had a blast exploring the Baths at Virgin gorda, but I think their favorite part was jumping off the front of the boat! Snorkeling at the caves was also an adventure and Soggy Dollar in White Bay never disappoints. Would highly recommend!

Enjoyed our day on the Captain Crunch. Rick was a very hospitable captain. We were a group of 7. 4 adults 3 children 4,7, and 10. We were able to snorkel and catch sight of a few turtles. For small children best to bring your own swim vest. We swam in a couple of spots and went to Norman island for lunch. It is an idyllic setting. Absolutely enjoyed our server Sophia and the kids were able to swim on the beach and play in the sand.
