5.00We toured for 5 days with Tim, and the experience was everything I could have asked for and more. On every tour, he provided an engaging and comprehensive overview coupled with bits of local lore and facts. I wasn't trying to play "stump the guide," but I think there was only one question he didn't have an immediate answer for. (This review covers much more than the afternoon we did the Beatrix Potter tour.) His ability to navigate the narrow lanes safely while also describing the area and answering random questions was nothing short of amazing. I highly recommend English Lake Tours and would choose them again without hesitation.

5.00We did this tour with Tim who was an excellent guide full of information and liked it so much we engaged another half-day tour to the 8 lakes. I like driving but here in the Lake District the roads are narrow and twisty and towns full of cars and people. This was a much more relaxing way to actually SEE things. We came away with a lot more understanding about the area and its effect on Beatrix Potter.
