This was a lovely experience. We went to two smaller wineries, one of which is entirely family-operated. Everyone was particularly friendly and knowledgeable. The guide Riste was particularly knowledgeable and had a good relationship with the wineries where we went. It was very easy to take the train here from Torino (just need a brief transfer if leaving from Porta Nuova but direct from the other two stations). This is great for solo travel or even a small group, and Riste knows the area well and can make plenty of recommendations. I also appreciated his responsiveness / communication as a first-time visitor and solo traveler.
