I’m Arthur, the captain of Pirates Rio! We are an agency specialized in private tours in the city of Rio de Janeiro.
In this experience, our mission is to take you to explore the main tourist spots of the city in 8 hours! For that, you can choose 5 options from this list:

Throughout the tour, you’ll have what we call a pirate ship (a super comfortable car with air conditioning) + the captain of the ship (a licensed tour guide) at your disposal to pick you up from your hotel (or meeting point) and take you on this adventure! There’s also a stop for lunch, and we will take you to the restaurant of your choice.

What To Expect
Corcovado - Christ the Redeemer
We will visit the seventh wonder of the world, a unique 38-meter monument on top of one of the highest mountains in Rio de Janeiro, the corcovado. We will cross the road that gives access to the mountain through the Tijuca Forest to the visitor center where we will board the official vans.
Pao De Acucar
An adventure from above, we will take the cable car up the two most beautiful mountains in Rio, waiting for exuberant views and lots of excitement!

5.00This was a great walk! The guide was communicative, polite, super punctual, organized and attentive. Having a private driver (which was also an absolute pleasure) made moving around Rio to see all the places light, like a breeze of sea. He chose an amazing place for lunch for us and had water and snacks in the car. Arthur is a wealth of knowledge about history and culture or Rio and Brazil, and we have learned a lot about this amazing city and country. I would definitely recommend this experience with the agency Pirates Rio!

5.00Arthur is a super storyteller and made us feel welcome and informed from the beginning of our tour. He managed to easily switch from English to Brazilian Portuguese in order to include my mother-in-law in the conversation and explanations of each place we visited. The tour flowed perfectly from one place to another with ease and was perfectly mapped, so we didn't feel like we spent the whole day in the car. Not only did we have Arthur as a guide, but we also had a friendly driver who stayed with the car to keep it cool and pick us up wherever we were, which made us feel like VIP's. Congratulations and thanks to Arthur and the Pirates Rio team for making the tour so amazing and helping make our trip to Rio de Janeiro an unforgettable experience!

It is the best travel agency with amazing guides and drivers! On my tour I was with Katia who was very accessible, friendly and familiar with the history of various places in Rio. In addition, she made sure everything was perfect until the day of the tour, communicating with me and aligning expectations. In addition, the tour is flexible because if you have a favorite place to visit, just ask the tour guide and he will do his best to include it in the tour. Finally, Katia knows the best place to eat and definitely a good and affordable restaurant with food to give water in the mouth. Overall, I will definitely reserve the tour with the Pirates Rio when I am back in Rio. Thank you!

5.00Our stay in Rio was very short, and the trip with the Pirates Rio was worth it! If you’re on a quick trip through Rio de Janeiro and are looking for a tour that’s worth spending your money – then that’s the perfect one! We may not have been the best guests to walk, as we ask little or no questions, as we prefer to enjoy the moment both information and views. Really worth it. The guide helped us to get to the airport as we need to suddenly leave the hotel and we thank you very much for this kindness! In addition, had a lot that Arthur helped us when we asked him and we know that this is out of his role as our tour guide but at no time he hesitated to help us. Jorge, our day's driver was very kind and friendly. Thank you again for this experience to Arthur, Jorge and the entire team of Pirates Rio!

5.00Artur and Jorge (the driver) created a magical day for me and my friend! This was probably the best TripAdvisor experience I’ve ever had and was the highlight of my trip to South America! Both were very funny and easy to talk to. They taught us about the Brazilian culture and history with mastery. Everything that day was perfect! They personalized the trip for me and my friend - from the music in the car, the restaurant we wanted to go to the kind of conversation we had. They also caught us and left us in our hotel! Arthur in addition to a tour guide who is also a historian has also proved himself a great photographer taking fantastic photos of ours. I highly recommend this tour, no doubt you will not be throwing your money out! Thank you for everything!
