We were on a cruise that docked in Chan May Port and only had a short amount of time to do a private tour. Unfortunately, there were torrential rains and the area experienced the worst flooding in 60 years. The flooding started the day we toured. Tommy and Destiny were able to negotiate the areas with calmness and efficiency! We were so happy that we cancelled our bus tour arranged through the cruise ship and booked last minute with Tommy Tours. Our first stop was Dragon Bridge in Da Nang for a photo opp. The Han River was starting to rise but not too bad (yet!). We then went to Marble Mountain (it's not really a mountain but an area where marble statues etc are made). We toured a marble sculpture factory (I don't recommend unless you're in the market to buy a sculpture for your house). We then went to the caves and temples which were interesting but the rain was like waterfall coming down the steps that lead to the temple. Our next stop was Hoi An. We tried Banh Mi Phuong which was made famous by Anthony Bourdain. Then began our tour of Hoi An. The ancient village provides subject matter for photographers. Within one hour of our visit, the streets were flooded. Our guide Destiny told us that the flood waters could rise to the roof lines by the evening (turns out that is what happened). Destiny finished up our visit with a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. Tommy safely drove us back to our port. The tour buses from the cruise ship were either cancelled or had to turn back because of the flooding (and no refund!). While the weather was a nightmare, we were able to have a positive experience thanks to Tommy's driving and expertise of the area. His collegue Destiny is an excellent ambassador for Vietnam. She is so knowledgeable of the area and it is because of her that we want to come back to Hoi An and experience more!! Next time, we will try to visit in April (not during the rainy season!).

We could not fault this tour. Met at the port by our guide Kong and driver Lu. Travelled via Hai Van pass then stopped at Dragon Bridge. The marble mountains were amazing and Kong took great time explaining everything whilst keeping to itinerary. Lunch was excellent a walking tour around Hanoi followed by Coconut coffee then a local show finished the tour. As requested we were back to port 2 hours to gangway. Tommy tours and Kong cannot be faulted from contact on initial booking to the drop off back at port Highly recommended

Absolutely fabulous! The only way to describe this trip! From the minute we booked, Tommy kept in touch, our driver Lu and tour guide Kong net us at the port and ensured we had a fantastic day! Kong is incredibly knowledgeable about every aspect of this trip. A great journey up the Hai Ban pass ( Top Gear fans will know this) . On to Danang to view the Dragon Bridge, amazing structure. Real highlight at Marble Mountains where Buddhist Monks chanted and Kong explained the history of the caves and the Buddhist faith and belief. Next was the newly built pagoda, stunning and yet wonderfully serene. Lunch at the Green Chilli with chef Nando ( a real character) was superb. A guided walking tour around the old town, including entrance to Chinese temple ending with a traditional Vietnamese show made the day perfect and excellent value for money. Would highly recommend!

Did this tour today from Chan May with our guide Kong and driver Lu. Started with a trip along the Hai Van Pass then stopped for photos at the Dragon bridge. Then onto Marble Mountain which was absolutely breathtaking . Followed by a brilliant lunch in Hoi An a walking tour of old town, coconut coffee and a 30 minute local show. I couldn't fault anything great value for money from a very knowledgeable guide. I would highly recommend this company.

Amazing, Amazing, Amazing! My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Marble Mountain and Hoi An. Ty and our driver (Phe) were excellent and did a great job of giving us a background of the sites we were seeing while graciously answering all of our questions. Ty also accommodated our lunch request and brought us to experience authentic Pho. Such a wonderful experience and an awesome introduction to Vietnam. Thank you!

Tommy and Tho were great tour guides. Tommy was always in touch with me, answered all my questions before our tour and worked with me to give my group of 28 people a great time. We went to marble mountains and although it was pretty rough terrain for some of us, Tho assisted one of us down the steps. Do not attempt this if you have health issues and/or physical restrictions. The steps are steep and uneven. The second part of our tour was to hoi an, coconut basket boat ride. It was a blast! Then we had lunch at a local restaurant with delicious food. We had 3 appetizers plus the main entree and drink. We could have been satisfied with just the 3 appetizers. It was a nice riverside restaurant. Unfortunately our group was too big to sit by the riverside, but fortunately we sat on the second floor with air conditioning. We then went to hoi an for some shopping and a wild ride around the streets in electric buggies. After a great tour, while driving back to the cruise ship, we were entertained by Tommy and Tho singing and getting to know them a little more on a personal level. It was a great day. My whole group enjoyed it very much.

Henry our tour guide was warm, friendly, funny and excellent navigating the various sights of the day. He met us at the Chan May port early in the morning. Then he and his very capable driver drove us through Chan May to our first stop...a lovely beach area to look at the ocean. Then on to a full day of touring, including a delicious, authentic Vietnamese lunch, where Tommy Dao personally met us. Henry loves his country and it shows in every detail that he shares about its history and culture. Henry knew that we wanted to be return to the ship by a specific time and did so with ease, He is a hardworking young man who loves his country and wants to share his love to all who visit. Please ask for him, if you can.

As my aged mother has mobility problem, to save any hassle, I decided to book a private day tour with Mr.Tommy Dao for my family with 10 members well before we boarded the "Spectrum of the seas" to Chan May Port of Vietnam. Upon arrival at the Port, Tommy and his colleagues were already there to greet us. The whole journey on that day was very pleasant and enjoyable. As such, I have to take this opportunity to write to thank Tommy and his colleagues for making our trip at Vietnam so memorable. Regards, Danny
