  If you've only got one day from a cruise, seriously, don't do the Amalfi and Positano trip, especially in high season. You'll end up spending 4 hours in the car and only 1 hour at your destination. Tony, the driver, was a good tour guide but a terrible driver. His braking and accelerating style made us feel like we were riding a horse. And what I really didn't like was how he rushed us, and then at the end, when I was ready to tip him, he actually asked for it. It made me feel so awkward and uncomfortable.

  Antonio was a wonderful guide. We laughed a lot together and learned some Italian in the way. He is knowledgeable about the history and great stops. Antonio is a master at traffic avoidance with cool backroad back ups and ways to explore with minimal traffic jams. Overall a nice tour with scenic drive. Be prepared to spend time driving around, that’s the only thing is distances are far for a day trip. But must see spots :) overall, a nice day seeing magnificent coastline.

  We had a wonderful day trip to Sorrento, Positano and Amalfi. Our guide, Eric, was fantastic. He was warm, friendly and very well informed about the sights. He is also an excellent driver, which turned out to be essential on the narrow winding hill roads.

• Alamafi Coast tour

  Luigi, our driver and tour guide was amazing. He pointed things out and told about the history and various things as we drove along the Amalfi coast. He gave us recommendations on what to see, where to eat and what beach area to hang out on. However, I felt like it was too much in one day. The itinerary says you have 2 hours at each destination but the “travel time doesn’t really allow for that. We stayed in Positano for 1.5 hours, Amalfi for 2.5 hours but only had 45 minutes (at the most) in Ravello before we had to leave and we didn’t get back to ship til 4:45. Our tour was supposed to end at 4:00. We kept the driver later than was allowed for but he did not mind and was pleasant the whole time — not one complaint!! The scenic route along the way was unbelievably beautiful! The drive is a little scary b/c the roads are so narrow and winding — thankful I was not driving.

  We had an absolutely incredible time with Tony! He was punctual, professional, and informative. But more than that, he had a positive attitude and was just fun and easy to be around. He made adjustments to our itinerary to make it our very best day! He was very aware of the time we needed to be back to our ship, yet the day was relaxed. He went out of his way to make our experience seeing the Amalfi Coast absolutely unforgettable- magical. We highly recommended Tony and this private tour.

• Eric's Private Tour of the Amalfi Coast is THE BEST!!!

  This private tour was amazing! Eric was our tour guide, and we could not have asked for a better day. Eric was the perfect balance of great driver (which is A MUST along this route), wealth of knowledge, lunch recommender and fun guy! HIGHLY recommend !!!

  Ask for Luigi — he is the best! He was personable and allowed for complete flexibility in the tour schedule. Best way to schedule a private tour of Amalfi coast.

  I would highly recommend this tour. We had a great time with Tony as our tour guide. I was nervous when our cruise changed ports in Naples but Tony was there for us, on time with a smile and ready to take us exploring the coast. It is so beautiful!! We went to the Limoncello factory, Positano, and Ravello. We stopped at various spots along the way to take pictures. Tony called ahead to make reservations for lunch at a gorgeous spot with amazing views. He taught us a little Italian, was knowledgeable, polite, and professional. It was the most fun of all the tours we had during our stay in Italy. Don’t miss a great day visiting the Amalfi coast with Tony!! Arrivederci e Grazie Mille

• Beautiful amalfi coast

  Tony was punctual, funny, and knowledgeable of the area. He did a great job of navigating us through crowds, picking great photo opportunities, and recommended a great place for lunch. Some of his English was harder to understand than other tour guides but we figured it out together as we learned some Italian. We were grateful to have a safe driver to navigate the intricate roads.
