Travel like a prince or princess visiting Berg Eltz and taste Riesling the king of white wines and see the green countryside of Germany.

From Frankfurt, and the Autobahn it’s about 1.5 hr drive through some stunning green countryside on our way to Eltz castle, considered “the most beautiful castle in Europe”, a “fairy tale in stone” A charming castle situated near the Mosel for 900 years. Eltz takes you back to the Middle Ages, with a fabulous treasury and unspoilt forrest surroundings.

After a tour, and many castle steps you will be hungry & thirsty. So we will head to the Mosel valley to a charming village for lunch at a wine tavern. you can try authentic schnitzel or seasonal products.

After lunch we will visit a boutique winemaker to learn about Mosel wine and taste man Rieslings. We will visit vineyards offering some magical views for a picture.

One of the most charming and originally intact castles. We will spend about an 1hr exploring the castle. There is an option to join a group tour.

Marvel at ancient steep terraced vineyards. We go into the vineyards to learn about their unique terroir. We will also go into the charming village for regional lunch at local wine tavern

Carl was a terrific guide. He greeted us with wine and sandwiches for the drive to the castle. He was in communication prior to make sure we knew where to meeting him from our ship and had us back in plenty of time. His knowledge of the region and local wines was amazing.

Carl ended up recommending a different castle to visit due to the heat and it did not disappoint! Thoroughly enjoyed the castle and had a fabulous lunch in a small village with a wine tasting as well. Kudos to Carl!
