Ancient City of Ephesus

Ephesus Ancient City, which contains the symbols that shed light on the superior urbanization, architecture and religious history of the Hellenistic and Roman periods, has the most important architectural and urban planning examples from different periods. The ancient city, which is completely made of marble, is also very impressive with its architectural structures. Where you will see one of the most magnificent excavations in the world, the ancient city of Ephesus is a remarkable ancient site and you will be able to see every step of the dozens of historical artefacts that include The Odeon, The Fountain of Trajan, The Terraces of Apartment Houses, The stream baths of Scholastika, The temple of Hadrian and impressive Celsus Library which is adorned with columns and statues, and let's not forget about The Magnificent Grand Theater, where Saint Paul preached and is the largest theatre is antiquity with capacity of 24.000 seats.

Meryemana (The Virgin Mary's House)

In the House of Virgin Mary, declared holy by the Vatican, Muslims as well as Christians from all over the world pray and make offerings to fulfil their pilgrimage. In the Virgin Mary House, which is a sacred place for Christians all over the world, believers from all religions pray, and tourists make their visits. Olive trees on both sides of the path leading to the house of the Virgin Mary were planted by Lazarist monks in 1898. The statue of Mary, located at the end of the road with olives, is the gift of a religious community in Izmir and bears the date of 1867. The visit to the Virgin Mary House ends with three fountains reached by descending the stairs on the right after leaving the church. Drinkable water flows from the fountains and from the wells next to the church. Visitors do not only taste this water in the belief that it is healing but also take it with them.

We had a private tour of Ephesus, House of Mary and Temple Artemis from Pamukkale. I highly recommend this tour company, they are highly profesional. The Guide whose last name is Seker was phenomenal, he attended to all our needs and adjusted our itinerary as needed to accomodate our family's need. We were never rushed to see or do anything.

We spend our day exploring Virgin Mary’s House, the Ancient City of Ephesus, Sanctuary of St John’s and Isa Bey Mosque among other attractions. Despite an extremely hot weather, we had an excellent journey. Our guide, Seyhan Dogan from Travel Castle, was very knowledgeable, experienced and accommodative of our needs. Seyhan’s English is flawless, he has great sense of humor and enjoys what he’s doing. On top of everything, he took us to excellent shops where we found amazing deals! Highly recommend

This was a great trip!! Castle Tours and especially our new friend Tugra were excellent in setting up every detail of our trip. Especially when we visited Hattusha. The whole day was special and the food was excellent. The staff were great and we now have new friends. Tugra took care of every detail with great care!!!! You will want to use Castle Tours and Tugra for your touring needs in Turkey. I promise you, you will have one of the greatest times of your life. I can't wait to go again.

The tour was everything we expected and more. The transportation was super comfortable, the driver was very good and friendly. The best part of the tour was our guide, Yesra. She speaks perfect English, knows every place and every detail of the history perfectly, she is kind, friendly, and patient. We visited Ephesus, the House of the Virgin Mary, and Pamukkale. I give this company a 5/5, their service is excellent. I would definitely hire them again.
