Mount Rushmore is more than just the carvings. They have secrets that are not easily revealed. GeoFunTrek's guides are local experts with decades of experience. We have no seasonal guides, part-time guides or trainees. This is a family-owned business and all tours are conducted by family members: Cindy, Christopher and John Esposti. We have the knowledge and skills to make your day one to remember. You will always get the A-team when you tour with GeoFunTrek Tours!
All tours are PRIVATE TOURS, exclusive to the group booking the tour, and no additional guests will be included. Children must be accompanied by one adult. Children 3 years and younger are free and will have their own seat. Children's car seats must be supplied by family members when required. Our vehicles are SUV's, and a larger vehicle (van) may be rented for larger groups. This is a great tour for 3-generation families with Children, multiple couples and groups of friends.

GEOFUNTREK TOURS SAFETY UPDATE COVID-19 Your comfort and safety are our primary concern. Take a private tour, limited to your group only and enjoy the day. We have only three guides: John, Chris & Cindy. They are family members from the same household. They constantly monitor each other’s health. So even when not at work “THE BOSS” is always watching.
We do not have vehicles with a wheelchair lift. We can accommodate a folding wheechair and the guest must be able to enter and exit the vehicle on their own. We will gladly assist with any needed assistance and pushing.

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

You will enjoy a personalized guided tour of the Shrine of Democracy with a local expert. Visit the Sculptor's Studio, Presidential Trail and Visitor Center.

5.00The tour was fantastic! The guide was great: knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. He told the history of the area and the monument along with the geological formations. He led us to the best viewing areas and explained changes at Crazy Horse that he had seen in just one year and why things were happening. Overall a great experience. I highly recommend this tour

5.00Great day with Chris on our first trip to South Dakota. He was entertaining and knowledgable about our tour including Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse and Custer State Park. He hit the highlights but gave us opportunities to explore on our own. We highly recommend GeoFun. It certainly was fun for us!

5.00It was good. Your guide was friendly and fun to be around. Learned a lot about the geology and history of the area. Beautiful scenery and beautiful animals. Bring carrots for the donkeys. So worth it and we had a wonderful time.

5.00It is a private tour so you can stay as long as you want, the guide is there with you every step of the way and grew up and lives in the area so he could show us really spectacular views and has a wealth of knowledge. We were able to spend as much time as we wanted watching the bison and we saw so many and up close. Took us to a fabulous place so we could eat lunch, but if want to skip it he is okay with that too. John with GeoFunTrek is who I will use to come back and see progress on the Crazy Horse Monument!

5.00We took the Mt. Rushmore/Custer State Park/Crazy Horse tour with Chris. He picked up our two couples punctually at our hotel and gave us an extraordinary tour of the Black Hills. Chris is extremely knowledgeable on the facts and history of all of the attractions, and combined those with a lot of personal anecdotes to make for a great day trip around the area. He had plenty of water and snacks and moved us along at an appropriate pace, allowing plenty of time for photo and rest stops as needed. He's extremely personable and was a wonderful tour guide! We would definitely take another tour with Chris.
