5.00Yannis was amazing! We knew we would like this particular tour but Yannis took it to another level!!! His knowledge of the area and history of each location was priceless. We were a family of seven, that included my 90 year old father, who was in the US Navy here many years ago. He and Yannis had some wonderful conversations. I would definitely recommend this Private Tour and if Yannis is your tour guide you will have the best time! Thank you so much Yannis!!!

And he had gone out of his way to help my wife shop for the stuff she looked for. In short, he was gold standard for a driver/guide.

5.00We had an absolutely amazing time touring the historical sites around Athens with Tas, Yannis, Peter, Giannis, and Eva from Ancient Greek Tours. From start to finish, everything was perfectly organised, informative, and full of personal touches that made the experiences truly unforgettable. George and his team are not only incredibly knowledgeable about Greek history and mythology, but they are also warm, engaging, and passionate about what they do. Each stop on the tour was brought to life with fascinating stories, insightful commentary, and plenty of opportunities to ask questions and explore. Yannis’s, Giannis and Eva’s deep understanding of ancient Greek history and culture, Tas and Peter’s humour and energy made every moment enjoyable. Whether it was walking through the Acropolis, marvelling at the Temple of Poseidon, or discovering hidden gems off the beaten path around Corinth, every part of the tour felt thoughtful and immersive. We never felt rushed and moved from site to site at a paced that suited us ... allowing for a much more personal and enriching experience. 5.00Outstanding tour! Our guide was Yannis, who was very knowledgeable and accommodating the entire time. He gave us a generous box of Greek pastries! The tour was great, we especially loved seeing the fort in nafplio and the Mycenaean acropolis. The books he lent us on the tour for reference were very useful and interesting! Despite it being cold and rainy in the later part of the day, we had a great time. Definitely recommend.

5.00This was our first day in Greece. In addition to helping us make great memories, Peter, our tour guide, helped our two week cruise to get off to an outstanding start. From providing us with an endless supply of bottled water, a box of delicious bakery cookies, stopping at his favorite coffee shop to buy me a cold cappuccino and constantly taking pictures during the day and sending them to us after dropping us off at our hotel, Peter anticipated our every wish in order to help us have an incredible experience. Peter is pleasant, knowledgeable, professional and clear and concise in presenting the historical information of the area. His driving is excellent and being a local helped him to truly be an expert in the sites we visited. He consistently provided us with suggestions on how to visit each site, and then he allowed US to determine how to visit the sites and how long to stay at each. His sense of humor helped to keep the conversations flowing easily. Ancient Greece Tours and Transfers was a delight to work with! Their commination was excellent, their prices were reasonable and they made good on every promise. They truly cared about us, and they are honest and reliable! This company and tour guy has our highest recommendation!

5.00My sister and I booked a tour through Ancient Greek Tours ( with GEORGE, who is so accommodating and pleasant to deal with) . My sister is a mythologist so I asked GEORGE to provide a tour guide with a deep knowledge of ancient Greek history and mythology. We were assigned to Yannis who was just incredible! I could not give him a better review. From the moment he picked us up in Glyfada, (with fresh Greek pastries and ice cold water)and throughout our tour, he could not have been more informative in deep historical Greek roots. He was courteous and generous with his time and accommodations to us. He gave us plenty of time to explore on our own couple this with extensive knowledge of each stop prior. He arranged for a delicious lunch at a traditional Greek taverna in Nafplio-which had a good amount of vegetarian options. It was truly a wonderful memorable day of the best tours we’ve ever had!!! I highly recommend Ancient Greek tours and if you can get him, Yanni!!!! PS many times I tour alone- And I would feel completely comfortable, taking tours through Ancient Greek tours and traveling with Yanni.
