  It was so fun to experience this night market, and really helpful to have a guide to show us her favorite spots, including what is worth waiting in line for, and what to skip. Vicky met us at the MRT station and walked us around the night market. We also stopped in the temple for a few minutes while it was raining, and Vicky was so knowledgeable and shared with us a lot about the history, too.

  Really enjoyed the guided stroll around Shilin Night Market. Tasted delicious foods. Was instructed by Jason about the main goddess of the temple there at the market and shown all around the temple. The only thing I wish I had known about this tour was to bring cash to purchase all of the food items. I didn't realize that the foods were not included in the tour price. Wasn't a problem since there was an ATM at the metro station; just would have been nice to know prior to the tour starting.

  I could not have asked for a better guide than May Ei and I had the most wonderful experience with her on this tour. I was able to try so many different kinds of local foods and May was such a kind an knowledgeable host.   I had such a wonderful experience with my tour guide May. She took me to so many places in and around Shilin night market and I was able to try so many delicious local foods along the way. I would highly recommend this tour if you are visiting Taipei, I loved every minute of it!

  This is a good size area where you walk around and try different foods from a lot of street vendors. There are also some nice clothing stores mixed in and even some carnival games. So it’s a really mixed batch of interesting things to check out. Our guide Vicki was very knowledgeable and did a great job at trying to make sure we had a good time and try as many foods as we wished. You could do this yourself, but it really is helpful to have someone who’s taking you around and explaining everything to you and even ordering for you and making sure you have what you need. I would recommend it. I did it at the end of my trip, but I would actually recommend it being one of your first tours because it will help. You understand everything you’ll see the next few days after that at other locations

  Vicky was great with providing tips in advance of meeting that made it very easy to connect. She was very knowledgeable about the market, food, culture and easily answered any questions. Sadly I had a later lunch so didn’t get to try as many things, but she still explained everything to me. The two hours flew by! I enjoyed the private tour, and made me super comfortable visiting other night markets during my stay in Taipei. Thank you!
