And yes, we don't stop at the main monuments of the city, as we show that authentic face of the city, that less "touristy" neighbourhoods, that path outside the main directions, as if that wasn't enough! We love to share what it is to be Farense(Faro citizen).

We aim to entertain the customer, while teaching the many stories of Faro and its origins.

Old Town Faro

Come and discover the city like no other, meet us by the harbour's garden (jardim Manuel Bivar). We start by showing you the old town stoping in the main points of interest we will tell you everything we know about the city and how it came to be.

We go to the highest point of Faro, st.Anthony chapel we stop and climb to the top of the old watchtower to enjoy the best view in town. 360º

Fantastic private tour for 2. Joāo is very knowledge about the city and taught us so much! He was friendly, engaging, and picked up on things we were interested in and pointed out sites related to those subjects all while showing us a great selection of sites and teaching is all about each one.

Excellent trip from the harbour area to the highest point of Faro and a wealth of history in between. We had a very enjoyable and informative tour through the old and new and really get a sense of the city. This is not just a drive around tour - there a also a few stops were João shows specific aspects of history - of which he has a clear passion for, and also a superb view to "top" it off [ you'll know when you go]. Many thanks!

We had the most amazing tuk-tuk city tour of Faro with João. He has incredible knowledge of Faro and history (I’d say he was passionate about it and it showed) and we had some great conversations. We thought it was great value for money and definitely our highlight in Faro. João was very personable with great knowledge and spoke impeccable English.

We booked a Tuk-Tuk sightseeing tour of Faro in order that we had an idea of the town itself, its history and places we should look to visit during our stay. It proved to be one of the best tours we have taken. Our local guide John/Joao was well presented, extremely friendly, polite, knowledgeable, and passionate about his town, its peoples, and the region. He was fluent in many languages, had particularly good customer service skills and communicated fluently and enthusiastically. The 2 seater Tuk-Tuk itself was clean, tidy and quite quiet. Our guide was easily heard at all times. As most of the streets in Faro are cobbled then it did bounce a bit, but it was never uncomfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and our guide, Joao, and would highly recommend taking this tour.

One of the best sightseeing tours I have done in ages! Joao is passionate about local history and has an extensive knowledge of the Algarve. He speaks several languages fluently, is unfailingly informative, insightful and interesting. He was able to customise his tour to accommodate our travel plans and personal interests. Outstanding communication and customer service skills. The tuk tuk is surprisingly quiet and very comfortable. Cityxplorer offers variety of private tours of Faro and surrounding areas at very reasonable prices. Perfect! :D
