  • The sites are really...

The sites are really spread out so there is a lot of driving between the three sites. That said, all three are worth seeing, especially the Mosque at Kairouan and El Jem. Both guide and driver were very good, with the guide very knowledgable and accommodating and the driver careful and thoughtful. Since there are hours in the car the driver's skills become as important as the guide's.

  • Great multilingual guide

Great guide, well organized. Most tours in this area are private so it was nice to find an actual group tour and meet new people. The guide was impressively fluent in several languages and very knowledgeable about the history. One thing to be aware of is the timing: we were supposed to be back around 5-6 pm but I didn’t get to my drop off til 8:30. So just be aware of that if you have a flight to catch or evening plans and discuss it with them up front.

  • Unfortunately disappointing

I had two tours with Didon Tours. The first one was disappointing, the second one was better. In the first tour, on the highway the car had a flat tyre. The tyre was worn out from the beginning . The driver and the guide must have checked this beforehand but they didn’t and we couldn’t visit Monastir. As a nice gesture they paid my lunch and we did monastir on the 2nd tour. But of course it could have happened that I was leaving the country next day. So it was a big irresponsibility. Also on the first tour, the guide was rude! I told him in Jem that it was very windy where we were standing and he suddenly said to me that I should tell him to stop talking if I think that he is talking too much and he cut the explanation and told me that I can visit on my own. I never meant anything like this. Additionally he was talking in Arabic all the time with the driver. He could have given me some information about Tunisia. I only got some short answers from him when I asked him questions. When we got back to Tunis, he was shouting at cars or pedestrians who were stuck in a traffic jam. As a guest I don’t want to hear any guide shouting at people!!! On the other hand the driver was really nice! On the 2nd tour the guide and the driver were very nice. They talked in Arabic in a low voice and rarely with each other. The guide told me and showed me many things as we were driving about Tunisia and the surroundings of the places we visited. The first tour was really a big disappointment.

  • A pleasant way to explore Tunisia

Our guide, Bilel, made the trip easy and pleasant. The tour schedule was as agreed. This kind of tour with a local driver and a private guide is highly recommended to be flexible with a busy schedule.

  • Interesting sights, easy exploring

Had a good time with Yaya (hope I spelled that right?) and our driver. There was good information, but also some time to explore as well. I've booked another tour with the group. Definitely easier than trying to plan and execute it myself!
