Step inside the ancient world of Wessex as you embark on the historical journey of a lifetime. Your friendly driver/guide will pick you up directly from your hotel in the morning, keeping you entertrained as you get ahead of the big bus tours at Stonehenge. Unlock the secrets of the world's most famous stone circle with your expert guide.
In the afternoon we'll take you to the only Unesco World Heritage City in the country, having an opportunity to explore The Roman Baths Museum; dedicated to the Celtic-Romano Goddess Sulis Minerva. You'll then have time to explore this beautiful city and have lunch in the city centre, before your panoramic tour of Bath to see stunning Georgian Architecture - The Royal Crescent and The Circus.
On the way back to London, we'll drive through the English Countryside, seeing rolling hills of The Cotswolds and learning about how the medieval wool trade was the beating heart of England's economy. You can then choose to see either Castle Combe or Lacock.

What To Expect
Stonehenge
In the morning we travel to Stonehenge and arrive before the large tour groups so that the experience is more memorable and special. Our guides know everything there is to know about Stonehenge and their passion will add to your overall experience.
The Roman Baths
In the afternoon we will visit the magnificent Roman Baths Museum; The only place in England where you can see natural thermal waters alongside a Roman Temple. The City was once called Aqaue Sulis, and shares both Roman and Celtic origins. This magnificent museum will make your jaw drop when you see how well kept the 2000 year old floor looks today. Aside from the temple, Bath offers magnificent shops and architecture from the 18th Century when it was entirely reinvented as a Spa Town. The Queen Square, Circus and Royal Crescent are but justs a few of the magnificent designs of John Wood. Your guide will fascinate you with stories from Roman origins to Georgian glamour and make the story of Bath come to life!

5.00This was a wonderful day. Our guide was Christian, who did everything possible to make our day fantastic. He was knowledgable, knew the areas completely and made everything go smoothly and easily. The timing of the day was perfect. This trip was one of the highlights of our visit to the UK.

5.00Absolutely the BEST tour we've ever been on! Oz is not just a tour guide but a friend and great wealth of knowledge! We had two amazing day trips with Oz as our tour guide. He made each tour specific to our likes. We even stopped for coffee on the way to Stonehenge because of that stop he checked the Google Maps and it showed an accident on 303 hwy. Which we took a detour, but the bigger busses always stay on the path despite accidents on the roadways, We got to Stonehenge before everyone else and had it all to ourselves for 15 mins which is unheard of! He walked us through talking about the site and answering all our questions good, bad and the ugly. . Even when we went to Bath he already had an idea we wanted a good steak and ale pie, he had looked it up the night before and suggested The Raven which was one of the best pies and pints we had. I know it seems kinda pricy BUT TRUST ME IT IS WORTH EVERY PENNY! The one one experience is so worth it! If you were to splurge on a once in a lifetime trip I would pick this company hands down! By the time this ended we were planning another trip via this amazing company. He say's he has people who specialize in different locations. We are now looking to book with them for Wales, S. England and N. England going into Scotland. We also hired Tailored Tours to help us get from our hotel to Fullers Brewery > OVO Wembley for a concert > and Pickup from OVO to our hotel. Richard was our driver that day and what a wonderful man who made our experience so easy. Which we were worried about coming to an unknown country and trying to figure out concert logistics.

5.00We had an amazing private tour with Oz. Super flexible with our time in every location. Very impressed with his history knowledge. Would recommend to anyone wanting to visit these locations, tour was a long day but didn’t feel long and was my kids favorite day in London!

5.00Christian was an amazing tour guide. He was very flexible in helping to tailor our visit to some places that were not initially included with the tour and was very knowledgeable about the area - with amusing stories and anecdotes. We would definitely request Christian's services in the future.

5.00David was a wonderful guide for an incredible experience. Expectedly long day of driving but well worth it to see Stonehenge bright and early! David was brilliant with his knowledge of the sites and all things English. He found a great place for lunch at a local pub, too! Highly recommend!

5.00Full disclosure: I usually do not take the time to write a review, but speaking for the group I traveled with, we all felt this one truly deserved it. Before getting into the details of the tour, I want to mention that Tailored Tours made the overall booking experience and the time leading up to the tour a splendid experience. Being a small company, it felt much easier to communicate with them. They reached out days before the tour to help make travel accommodations and to ask if there was anything we needed to make the experience more enjoyable. Our group was very grateful for this. As for the tour itself, it was a wonderful experience and the highlight of all the activities our group did in the UK. With the name “Tailored Tours,” the company truly lived up to it. Based on our wishes, they constructed the tour so we spent less time at Stonehenge and more time in Bath and the Cotswolds. All three were must-see locations, but we especially wanted extra time to enjoy the beautiful city of Bath. Our group had a variety of people who were more interested in history, landscapes, or shopping. Everyone had the opportunity to do what they wanted, and we really appreciated that flexibility. Christen, our tour guide, was absolutely incredible. He was a great person and did a wonderful job making the experience enjoyable for everyone in the group. I’m sure every tour guide with this company is excellent, but for anyone I recommend this tour to, I will always suggest booking with Christen. He truly made this a 10/10 experience.

5.00We had an absolutely wonderful day on this tour, and can’t recommend it highly enough. Our guide, Peter, was fantastic: deeply knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about what he does. He shared fascinating insights at every stop and managed the day with warmth, humor, and great attention to detail. The itinerary was beautifully structured and flowed so naturally that the hours just flew by. We were lucky to have a gorgeous sunny day, which made Stonehenge especially striking. Bath was charming—we could have easily spent even more time there—and our stop in a Cotswolds village was the perfect way to finish the day. This is exactly the kind of experience you hope for when booking a private tour: seamless, memorable, and led by someone who truly loves bringing England’s history and scenery to life. Five stars all around.

5.00The tour was wonderful, we learn so much about the three places we visited. We loved Bath and Cotswold, and we learn a lot about Stonehenge. Peter was a great tour guide. He has so much information about each place we visited. His car was very comfortable and clean. He was a smooth driver. He gave us tips on how to dress for the weather and places to eat. We would do another tour with Peter.
