Our driver Agata was wonderful! Her knowledge was great, the sights we saw were excellent, and the little car was a joy! We would highly recommend this tour and ask for Agata

Our tour guide was Jacob, and we truly appreciate all the effort he put into making us feel comfortable. He explained everything so clearly, and we enjoyed every moment of the tour. We highly recommend this type of tour if you want to experience the place through a local guide. We sincerely recommend Jacob and this tour.

Contentful tour (taken 4 hours) that covered most of the culture and history of the city. Cool old Fiat (with some bad heater, though..) took us around the city. We parked a little here and there and walked. Our guide, Alexander was knowledgeable and pleasant to hang out with. We were picked up and delivered in the hotel lobby.

Jakob, our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. He took us to some amazing parts of the city and has very interesting stories about the landmarks and history of the city, and of Poland in general. He bought the history to life. It was great to be driven around the city in the fabulous 1982 Polski Fiat 125p too. My interest in the communist architecture and also the old town (more communist architecture) was well catered for. I would definitely recommend a tour with Jacob to anyone and will use his services again the next time we are in Warsaw

Just wrapped up a great tour with local Alek, who provided the right balance of historical information and personal perspectives, as well as helpful suggestions for post-tour activities, all the while deftly maneuvering the retro fiat around town!

Had a fantastic private tour around the city of Warsaw yesterday in an old retro fiat taxi with the best guide I’ve ever had. Jacob’s knowledge of the city & its surrounds was incredible & we learnt so much about Warsaw & its history from him. We had such a great time visiting parts of the city including Old Town, New Town, Praga, palaces, monuments & some areas that most tourists wouldn’t see & the chocolates & shots of Polish Vodka at the end of the tour was a nice touch. We asked so many questions, (which Jacob knew the answers to every one of them) we went way over the 4hr tour time but he didn’t mind at all. The yellow retro Fiat was a head turner wherever we went with people wanting to take photos & inspect it at any opportunity. Old Town was a highlight with the architecture & history which Jacob explained brilliantly. I’d recommend this tour & Jacob to anyone that wanted a great overview of Warsaw city & surrounds in a short period of time.

Jakob took us on the retro fiat tour of Warsaw. Jakob is amazing, so kind and so knowledgeable about the history of Warsaw and Polish history. He brought us to 4 points of interest and walked us through the history of Warsaw which is far more colourful and interesting than we had thought. Jakob arrived at our hotel to collect us and immediately we felt at ease with how pleasant he is, taking photos of us with the 1982 car! First stop we arrived at old town where we walked through the city walls where Jakob explained the history behind paving stones to building facades and the incredible architecture of the city. It is a sad fact that city was decimated in WW2, it was so interesting to hear how the city planners and architects rebuilt the city based on original plans of how the buildings stood and reconstructed precisely. From there we went to new town where we Jakob explained the history of the area and brought to life the markets that once existed. We loved that Jakob tailored our tour. The traffic was very heavy, it being Christmastime and a number of roads were closed due to roadworks so Jakob suggested a change of tour to avoid sitting in traffic for an hour. Which we were very happy about, who wants to sit in traffic! We then visited the Palace of Culture & Science where Jakob explained to us the history of this building, good and bad. We look at this impressive building whilst passing by but we don’t understand the cultural impact without context. Jakob explained how the Soviets ‘gifted’ this building to Warsaw and how the locals felt at a time of rebuilding from the war to modern day. From there we went to the MDM neighbourhood built in communist 1950s. Jakob showed us all of these amazing architecture features that people blindly walk past everyday. The history behind the stone carvings and ceiling mosaics are so interesting. We would have never known any of this history if not for this tour and we wondered if locals know these exist. We then headed to the royal gardens which are stunningly calm and wonderful. We arrived in the evening when it was very dark. However we were glad to visit with Jakob to hear the history of the kings summer houses and the amphitheater and today we can visit in the daylight. I will say the pictures at night are stunning. We get the best of both worlds. Overall this was by far the best city tour we’ve been on in a long time. Friendly, interesting with lots of unique history you just wouldn’t know about otherwise!! Highly recommend! I don’t know if you can select tour guide but if you can select Jakob he is absolutely wonderful 10/10!!
