5.00Visited Lucerne in May, and the boat ride on Lake Lucerne (Vierwaldstättersee) was one of the most vivid experiences! What you liked: Types: The water offers a fabulous panorama of the city surrounded by the Pilatus and Riga mountains. Comfort: We chose an hour-long trip on a modern vessel (similar to a yacht). The ship is very clean, there are covered decks with panoramic windows and an open photo deck. Atmosphere: Very calm, fresh air. Saw a lot of swans at the dock. Convenience: The wharf is directly opposite the train station, easy to find. Travel tips: Clothing: Even if Lucerne is warm, it can be windy on the lake, take a light jacket or scarf. Time: It's better to sit on the upper open deck, from there the best views for the photo. Restaurant: The ship has a cozy restaurant with local cuisine and drinks. Be sure to make time for this trip, it is the perfect way to see Switzerland!
