What To Expect

• We´ll arrive to the airport before flight arrives to Guatemala. • In case we can not we´ll bring the bus to the terminal to pick you up. • We´ll be standing with your sign outside of the airport (please be patient as sometimes there is lots of people outside). • We´ll give you time to use bathrooms or buy a cup of coffee before departure (not included). • We can make a quick stop at a fast food restaurant in case you are hungry and need something to eat on the way (not included). • The trip will take around an hour to get to Antigua (depending on traffic conditions). • Sunset arrivals normally require more time to get to Antigua. • We´ll drop you off at your exact address in Antigua • Please note that sometimes streets are close so we will make our best effort to leave you as close as we can. • We will provide you with maps and information about Antigua and other locations if necessary.

I have used Helmuth and his team several times for trips from the airport as well as tours in and around Antigua. Whie he may be a bit more expensive than some others, it is worth it. The drivers are on time and the rides are always comfortable and safe. his tour guides are knowledgeable and always speak English as well as Spanish. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Helmuth for any of your travel plans in and around Antigua and other parts of Guatemala.

I continue to recommend Helmuth Leal of Caminos del Quetzal for travel in Guatemala. I only had one weeks notice that we were needed in Antigua. Helmuth met us at the airport in a clean and comfortable car and reserved a fantastic room at my favorite hotel. We needed a box of supplies and Helmuth purchased those items for us ahead of our arrival. During our gathering, when we decided we needed a soccer ball to give the kids something fun to do, Helmuth got one for us so our gathering was not interrupted. Our translator worked with the kids while they played soccer so Helmuth stepped in to translate for me so I could continue to visit. If you are a part of the adoption community, you may very well recognize the purpose of our visit and I can assure you that Helmuth is very sensitive to birth and adoptive families. He has many years experience working with families like mine. I cannot imagine my family and I traveling to Guatemala without him.
