What To Expect
Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site
Opened in 1933 primarily for political prisoners, Dachau was converted into a concentration camp as the war progressed, where some 41,000 prisoners were murdered. Those that survived were put through a living nightmare in this ‘school of violence’ for its SS operators. The permanent exhibition, opened in 2003, follows the ‘path of the prisoners’ from their arrival through to death or liberation by Allied troops. The stop is for 2 hours. The rest of the time is for transportation.

5.00Professional courteous driver picked us up at hotel. We had a 2 1/2 stop at Dachau concentration camp which was very somber. You could easily spend all day there. Arrived at our river boat right on time to unload luggage. The driver was nice enough to give us a ride into Passau saving us a taxi ride.
